Returning Back to School I graduated back in 1984. While I was in high school, I had never thought about college because I was lead to believe that for me to go to college I had to have scholarships. So I decided that I will have to make do on what I can do for myself. Well back in 2000, a friend asked me why I haven’t decided to go back to school. She told me that I should seriously consider to think about what I can accomplish for myself and my children by returning back to school for a better career, so we talked about what possible careers that is good for me.
These 2 pieces of the puzzle provide the ability for me to pay for school and be able to return fulltime. Personal sense of accomplishment and a new career field are the other reasons I have decided to complete my degree. I was tired of putting some college down when filling out job applications and responding to interview questions. I would like to state this degree is completed not halfway done. In addition I would be the first in my family to graduate college.

I tried a few classes here and there and it was something that seemed to be a temporary thing to occupy time. I was young and didn’t realize what college was going to mean to my adulthood challenges. After finally accepting a full time job that could lead to a career for some time it became clear that college would have been a good choice for me to have been successful. I quickly began to attend college classes through my employer to make gains in my career and try to possibly secure my future.
I asked my consoler if there was a misprint or if they had gotten rid of the program altogether. Mrs. Walker replies, “I’m sorry to inform you Shelby, but our school budget couldn’t cover the cost.” I was really looking forward to enrolling in a class that would get me my license in cosmetology.
Back to School Ramona Dory English 121- Week 3 Assignment Andrea Pfaff - Instructor Regan Tuttle - TA October 10, 2011 Back to School I never thought I would be 43 years old and going back to school. I will be talking about going back to school and why I decided to go back to school to get a degree. I always planned to go to college, after I graduated high school; I attend a technical school and got a diploma in Data Entry. I thought that would help me find a job so that I would be able to go to college, but I was not able to find a job in that field, so I was just working where I could in order to pay bills. I attempt several times before now to go back to school, but always got side track or something distracted me.
As this course will require a 3 year as a full-time student and the qualification you will be working towards is a BA (Hons). And I can be able to achieve these grades once I take my work serious in what I am going to achieve for my future. | 05/10/14 | In report, I did my research to find out more information about my course that I would like to study and work in the future as. I found they requirement, experience needed to follow my career and the annual salary for business accountant I’ve looked at different universities to make sure I meet the requirement given to me on the UCAS website so I could take a further step to my future job and study it more after I finish with getting knowledge with the basic business knowledge that I will need. And I also find out how many years I will need to complete
When I decided to go back to school, knew that college would help me refresh my brain in certain areas that I may need improvement on. I also returned to school because I want a job that will fit with me. Since I have been out of high school, I have had quite a few jobs. The jobs that were employed at, I knew that those jobs were what I did not want to have a career out of for the rest of my life. So, after all the different jobs I had back to back and me not being satisfied with either one.

In the essay “Is College for Everyone” by Pharinet, discusses that it’s not mandatory to attend a college institution to obtain a well-paying job. In the beginning of the essay Pharient refrains to a statement that students hear every day, “You want get anywhere without your education (635).” This is a statement that many teachers and parents repeatedly preach to their child since they were kindergartener’s. Pharinet also explains in a reasonable tone, that having a college degree doesn’t always bring success in most students’ life. Mainly because, students are not properly preparing themselves to what seems to be the “real world”.
All about Me Jennifer Webb COLL 100 I026 Fall 11 American Public University Eleanor Hewitt My name is Jennifer Webb and I am going to write an essay about why I decided to go back to school. I got tired trying to found a decent job, I wanted my daughters to follow in myself steps and go to college. I learned that most jobs are looking for some kind of college degree. I have been out of school for awhile and so I was a little nervous but after getting started I feel more comfortable with going to school. I want my daughters to always know that you can never get to old to learn new things.
I tried college right after high school but dropped out because I felt like I was wasting time and money. I told myself that when I decided what to major in I would go back and get my degree. I have been working as the office manager of a long term care facility and realized that my career path has reached its max potential with out a degree. My experience working with the accounts receivable and accounts payable and monitoring the financial process of a business has awakened my desire for more out of my career. At this point in my life I would love to move into the corporate level but need the college degree to do so.
