If uniforms laws was enforced at public schools, there would be less students breaking the school dress code policy. Students who are not required to wear uniforms to school are at a higher chance to violating the school dress code than students that are required to wear uniforms. Students could avoid wearing clothes that is not gang related or showing too much skin by wearing uniforms. Uniforms would be a good fit because it allows students to wear business type of clothing. Uniforms would help students focus more on their academics than on their social lives.
Even a novice shooter can become effective at using the weapon with minimal training. A teacher wanting to carry a sidearm should have mandated class and range time, as well as regular retraining. In addition they would have to be given a license to carry the weapon, so they don’t have to leave it in the classroom unattended. Regular physiological evaluations would make sure that the teacher is still within a sound mind and still okay to carry the gun. With teachers now carrying weapons on campus the disgruntled students would be less likely to try to bring a weapon of their own to school.
The student can accessorize with many colors, even wearing a uniform. Some students who wear uniforms would even wear accessories that stand out from the crowd. Overall, the students will receive a higher level of learning, without the help of any peer pressure from the styles and designers, which the student wears. Uniforms are very helpful in helping out needy families. Financially, a typical family would be able to buy a uniform at a reasonable price.
School uniforms can also be a very uncomfortable fashion that students would not take a liking to. They also won’t be the “quick fix” that many people think they are. The first reason uniforms should not be required is that most schools across the country believe uniforms take away from an individual’s identity, so they don't require their students wear them. In today's world a person’s identity and having a good sense of self is important to the diversity that Americans have shown in the past. In schools that require uniforms the student body all look like the same person, very bland and boring people.
Lockers are loaned to students to keep their school related materials in throughout the day. Thusly, students should not bring items to school that are prohibited by school handbooks or state laws. Catherine Kim argues that” locker searches are part of the larger school-to-prison pipeline problem.” She states that if a student’s locker was searched it would lead to “punishing, criminalizing, and incarcerating youth.” However, do we just ignore illegal contraband? Kim overlooks what I consider an important point about teaching students right from wrong. It should not be the school’s responsibility to teach values and morals but, to support and uphold these basic beliefs.
c. Though I have heard good and bad things about uniforms, I find that they are beneficial to students because they are reasonably priced, generate fewer distractions, and create a safer educational environment. II. Body paragraph 1 a. Before researching the prices of school uniforms, I assumed they would be probably pretty costly because not only would you buy a school uniform, but also regular play clothes for outside of school. i. I have since realized this is not true.
I am sure that you do not want your children exposed to this, and there is a way to stop it. I think students’ lockers should be searched because lockers are school property, it is the school’s duty to protect students, and this search will not be abused. Lockers are school property, students are merely allowed to use them as
First, mandating uniforms in public schools can prevent kids from getting bullied. Bullying is a big issue in schools nowadays. Kids can be so critical when it comes to judging others. Kids will judge other kids by what they’re wearing, if kids don’t wear certain brand names they’re not considered part of the cool kids and they will exclude them from their group. Kids who wear uniforms don't have to worry about what people think about their outfit and they can focus more on their studies and schoolwork.
Then when I studied and got a good grade I was like “wow, I can do this” and felt a beam of confidence that I could do it for other classes as well. Adapting to the schoolwork is a big part of having confidence in the classroom because you understand what is being taught. Gatto said “schools are establish fixed habits of relation to authority. This of course, precludes critical judgement completely.”(152). Gatto is saying that schooling is made for kids to adapt to; it has adaptive qualities, therefore there is a chance for everyone to succeed if they really want to, but it takes away from any individual thinking.
One element of the message is that when you are going to school, that is your place of work. That is the place where you are working at getting smart." Joe Palumbo In my first argument I will state that the uniform removes any sort of competition between the students in the manner of clothing. One of the biggest problems that students in public schools face is that school is a place to learn and grow as a person, not show off. When students feel the need to inadvertently express themselves with what they were, it begins to separate them in more ways than one.
