Would you rather have a time to do work because you have practice after school or have PE class? Well today there are many students’ grades suffering because they have no time after school to do their homework, which is a good reason for those students to replace their PE class with a study hall to do their homework. So student athletes should not have to do PE because they need time to do their homework, they can get injured in PE class and not be able to play and you already get enough exercise from sports. First of all, student athletes need extra time to do their homework because of having to leave early for games, getting home late from games and having at least two or more hours of homework. So giving them extra time to do their homework in school would increase the advantages of having their homework done. Another thing is that if students replace their PE class with a tutorial and you have to leave early for a game, then you would still be able to get your homework done in school if you PE class would come before you leave for games. Second is that student athletes can end up getting injured in PE class and not be able to play in sports for certain amount of time. The chance of a student athlete being injured in a PE activity that they are unfamiliar with is more likely than in their daily practices. So they are less likely to have an injury at practice since their sport becomes second nature. Lastly is that student athletes don’t need PE class because they already get enough exercise from their sports that they play. Getting more exercise is good but most students prefer to not do PE because they think they are fit enough to the point where they don’t need PE class.
