A good meal has many components. When one part works in conjunction with the others, the experience is unforgettable. The parts of a good meal could include; the food you eat, the drink you have, and the cigar you smoke. When these parts come together, they create a whole new occurrence, each time different from the last. Food is a major part of the dining experience. Certain types of food don’t go with certain kinds of wines, as well as a different wine might. In choosing what wine to have with a meal, one must realize what flavors are present in a dish. Such as salty or sweet, spicy or mild, all of these things matter. What taste that isn’t in the food should be present in the wine. When eating salty food, you don’t want a bitter wine, you would much rather prefer a sweet, maybe even a bubbly wine, something that counteracts the food. Wine is much like a sidekick, it compliments what it’s being paired with. When pairing a wine with a meal there are a few things to consider. Taste of course, whether it’s sweet or tart and if it’s regular or Asti (Asti meaning with bubbles). Wine is meant to add to a dining experience, give a different edge or feeling to a dish. Such as a Moscato di Asti, it has a strong peach finish that accentuates any cheese dish. It gives depth to the cheese, covering the whole palate spreading out the flavor to every taste bud. Now that the meals over, dessert has arrived, but not in the form of chocolate cake or a crème brulee, but as a cigar. There are few things that one has to consider when choosing a cigar. Much like wine and food, each cigar differs from the next. Such as a maduro, it has a very rich mild earthy flavor to it, allowing for the taste buds to kind of in a way be cleansed. On the other end of the spectrum you have a full bodied padorn or macanudo cigar; they are both strong flavorful cigars. Each one
