This will benefit the students that are attending low – performing schools, (Dept. of Education, 2012). This will need to be implemented with money, time manpower, and the materials for the students to use in classroom. The Title I and IDEA Grants will sustain the commitment to help the disadvantage students and which will also, include the diverse students, as well as, students with disabilities.
It also can make it easier than in the past for a student who switches schools, because now schools broadly have to follow a similar curriculum. The national curriculum was introduced to enable assessment, which also helped to compile league tables. League tables (1988 education act) are another change that has helped the education system. League tables are used to compare the academic achievements of different institutions and parents can use them to decide which school they want their child(ren) to go to. Using league tables is a good thing as if you want your child to go to a good school, you can chose the one most suitable with good education and exam results.

Uniform recycling among students is another way families can save; especially grade-school children who outgrow clothes quickly. Therefore I believe that parents will save more, which can go towards for their kids. Children who wear school uniforms do better academically. This is due to many reasons, including not wasting time in the morning getting ready, lack of distractions, and a more formal studying environment.
That is why I strongly believe uniforms should be enforced in every school whether public or private. I think that wearing school uniforms would help students do better in school for mainly three reasons. One is because they save valuable time, they can make school a lot safer for everyone, and they save money. First, school uniforms can save time because students, especially girls, don’t have to spend a lot of time trying to choose clothes to wear. In eliminating this time consuming task, students would have a lot more time to do more important things such as eating breakfast in the morning or doing homework.
Families with multiple children could save even more. With gently used hand me downs, a single set of uniforms could be worn by more than one child throughout the course of their education. Uniform recycling programs could also help to keep cost down for schools and families. The implementation of such programs could facilitate trade in programs for the uniforms, allowing families to trade in their uniforms on an annual or semi annual basis to keep up with growing children and growing families. Given the sufficient funds I would fix the numerous issues the lunch room at my school has allowing it to become a more efficient system. For starters I would install some type of card reader that would read the School Identity cards when we entered the lunch room; that way when students are waiting in a line that stretches out the door
There are numerous facts and findings on how school uniforms positively and completely enrich students’ school experience. School uniforms should be mandated in the United States from kindergarten to twelfth grade allowing our children to focus on their education and not their social environment. Uniforms are just one avenue we can take to attempt to improve our schools and raise student achievement. “According to the School Administrator publication, along with school reported statistics, the mandate of uniforms on campuses has reduced tardiness, skipped classes, suspensions, and discipline referrals” (Chen 1). All of these findings are extremely conductive of how mandating school uniforms would greatly improve our student’s ability to improve their school experience.
Sociological studies show that school uniforms help to improve academic performance. People are apt to change their action depending on what they are wearing. Since school uniforms set a serious atomosphere in the classroom by removing distractions, students may achieve their goals easier. Also, teens are sensitive to their appearance.
