I also use oral questioning as a direct form of assessing a learners knowledge against certain criteria. Within my subject area other assessment takes place such as written work in the learners portfolio, this is also used in initial assessment in the form of multiple choice questioning to ascertain a learners level of understanding and knowledge before they start a course. Accreditation of prior learning is also used to assess a learners level at initial assessment, this would then be checked with assessment, usually oral questioning, throughout the course. Examples of this type of communication include specially designed signs, electronic communication, documents and even presentations. It is essential that each individual has the capability of both implementing and comprehending visual communication processes in the workplace. In my role there are procedures that need to be followed relating to various aspects of the job including correct procedures to answer the telephone, dealing with IT issues, as well as many other procedures. 1.2 Explain the purpose of planning work and being accountable to others for own work Planning is essential to manage your time in a constructive way to complete the actions to be carried out. Planning helps to be organized on a day to day, weekly and monthly basis. While planning you have to obtain as many details about the piece of work you are doing to enable you to produce your work as efficiently as possible.
Once this information is obtained a SWOT analysis is used, which is a tool used for auditing the organisation and its environment. The sources that people use within a school could be information obtained from inside the business. There are different types of internal in c0formation, such as financial, personnel, marketing, purchasing manufacturing and administration. As well as internal sources of information, a school could also use external sources to help them make the correct business decisions. Some examples of external sources of information would be government, trade groupings, commercially provided information, database and research.

Microsoft Word is giving the possibility to create and edit documents needed in day-by-day activity, like addresses, reports, business letters, contracts, so on. Email is the next one used often in communication between parties; even if you send or you receive emails, it gives the possibility to communicate

Different communication methods are used in business environments as it makes it easier to communicate to a range of people. Written, non-verbal and verbal communications are used daily within the business environments. Everyday I use a range of both Written and verbal communication. I send out emails daily to our engineers and to the clients.
Supervisions are regular, between myself and my manager. They are designed to help improve the way I work, they offer practical and guidance and support in areas that I need to improve. After supervisions are the appraisals. They evaluate what was covered in the supervisions to make sure that improvement is occurring and to set new goals. My supervisions are taken on shift, my manager will watch how I work, how I integrate with the team of staff and with the clients in the care home and put forward any ideas on what I could do differently but also explain what I am doing well.
It also allows them to increase the higher order of thinking within the lesson and bring it up to a level of understanding to where each child is challenged based on their own method of learning. Although the first competency of rigorous learning and planning the lessons are encouraged, another competency of this component is professional development. Professional development helps teachers with every aspect of their work environment. We incorporate professional development in our organization by attending all of our staff meetings, monthly grade level meetings, and in-district workshops. The professional development meetings inform the teachers of how to incorporate rigorous learning into their lessons and also explains what the district expects to see from the staff.
