Describe the different types of teams that operate within a selected public service * Interdependent teams These teams are still in permanent operation today, each person in an interdependent teams is expected to work alongside the other team members and get along with them and all work as one to achieve the main goal and to reach the target that was set. Interdependent teams exist within the fire service because each and every single one of the fire crew has to work together to make sure the job is done fully and correctly and to make sure that they get everyone out of a burning building and put the fire out and make sure it is safe again. * Self – managed teams They are not managed by just one person they are managed by the members of the particular team, although there is more than one person in charge of a team, the teams are still required to carry out all the tasks that are set them in an effective way, so they all have to make good decisions just like a team leader on their own would. The team members need to identify such things as what are the risks, can we carry this out safely, will the team and others stay safe, what are the risks, do the risks outweigh the positives, they need to set goals and achieve them to show that they can do it. * Project teams Project teams are only temporary and are put together on lots of people from many other different permanent groups so because of this the projects are only in operation for a short period of time so that after its finished everyone can go back to their original groups. This can work out very well because you have many different ways of working things out so your will come up with the best plan possible. They could also learn from each other and take different skills back with them to their permanent team. * Cross-functional teams These teams are very similar to the project
