Actors prepare their lines before arriving at the shoot where most of the critiquing and direction is given. Film actors must be able to adapt easily due to the lack of rehearsals so that they can help the director and screenwriter fulfill their visions. Secondly, the order in which film and stage acting take place is widely varied. For example, in live performance everything is in a set order. Everything happens in
but as I got older I started to feel like I was put on this earth not just to entertain but to make a difference in the lives of others through theater since it made such a difference in my life and now the only way I can think of spending the rest of my life is being a theater educator. Everyone knows the saying "those who can do, and those who can't teach". for some this is true, but for most it was a choice, a choice to give up their dreams to make the dreams of another a reality, the ultimate sacrifice. I Am willing to make that sacrifice. I love theater so much, and I want to share it with the world show them how amazing and life changing it can be.
I had to make the script that they were ready interesting enough that the customer would want to listen and not immediately hang up. Organizing I had to organize seats before my team came in, I had to set up and chose the team members that I was going to monitor, organize the schedules so that all team members were working the allotted hours required and were not going over the hours or getting shorted any hours. I had to organize the paper work that the team members needed once they arrived so that they could be prepared. I organized this information so that the team members would see the value that they have made. Leading I would lead by
Practice was our backbone to how effectively we played on one accord. I learned how to stick together chanting in unison “one sound, one band”. I learned the ins and outs of togetherness and teamwork, without these ingredients, we gelled less as a band. When I endured my rigorous training of marching nineties and running up and down bleacher stands repeatedly, it gave me a chance to become stronger and a lot more disciplined. We all became stronger to the point we were begging to do workouts.
I can improve my Emotional Intelligence Assessment rating. To a great degree I need to eliminate the stress or at least manage it. My primary, doctor even tells one that I need to attend some stress reliving aerobics classes, to assist with my high blood pressure. In-addition, I always put everyone else’s problems before mind and helps them with their stress which, places more stress upon a person. I have been like this so long that I need to start caring about myself.
For this brief we were encouraged to pin point what our ‘strengths’ we have in performing, so for my initial ideas I went towards singing and acting. Once I had completed my research and made my final pitch it became clear that I would try to include all three aspects of performing arts to really try to impress. My research into possible/ideal venues, proved difficult to find in the local area, so I found mine in London… Our production company was invited to perform a Cabaret or Variety Act to an adult audience in a local venue. Each performance had to be approximately
I already did most of these consistently in the day so I was excited to analyze and see which one works out the best for me. I first chose to do music. I usually do this everyday anyways but to connect it with stress was fascinating. Listening to music can actually slow our heart rate and lower blood pressure, and can even decrease our stress hormones. I noticed I began to focus on the lyrics and for those moments I actually dozed off of what was actually going on in my life.
I agree with the adjudicator on the “preparedness” of our performance. We practiced a lot and it is evident to him that we all worked really hard on this piece. I also agree with his comment that we put a lot of energy, as required to play this song to further demonstrate our skills to him and the audience. I disagree with his statement that we need to improve on our choral to make it more “connected.” I believe we played the choral very well and it’s definitely one of the contrasts that highlighted our performance. In comparison to other bands in the Kiwanis festival, I realize our piece lacks complexity, especially when the length of our piece is fairly short.
Any profession should have some sort of code that tells them what they should do and what they shouldn’t do in order to be responsible and well-intentioned professional. The same rules apply to graphic designers. By detailing professional expectations between clients, designers, and subcontractors, ethical and responsible decisions can be made. The code of ethics will also help clients understand the limitations and the how/what/why graphic designers do what they do. In many relationships between graphic designers and clients, the client is unsure of the ethical boundaries their graphic designer has.
This experience showed me that working together is important and you can learn a lot from others on the team. Being an active member of the cheerleading squad enabled me to see just how much a sport can change a person’s life. I contributed to the team by helping out wherever I was needed. Sometimes I spotted girls that were flyers and other times I was a flyer. I contributed patience to the team because when I could not get a dance down I did not give up.
