Because they have their own business in school or after-school, they reject to stop their extracurricular instead to do more homework. So how to influence them to change their mind? In other word, how to let their performance same as the “A” students. Probably a lot of parents would say “No!”. Of course they can, the “C” students have same ability as the “A” students.
Most students try to avoid being lectured or get in trouble for something they can avoid. This is definitely extrinsic motivation that in turn create intrinsic motivation. Also, being able to see others students succeed around them can also motivate. If I don't care about my homework but I see that my friends do, I might be more likely to start caring about it
Many different factors can influence their reason for their attitude. Some could simply not care and it was either school or jail. Some could be new students and upset about a move so they just won’t show effort. Out of all the types of students, these students are the most mysterious because their effort doesn’t necessarily show what type of person they really are. From a social stand point, this type of student could be bullied, have conflicts at home, or be influenced by some other outside force.
Teachers and professors think the Web is great to a certain point though. Teachers have noticed students are carried away by the Web because they are focusing less on reading. Carr agrees, “…. They don’t necessarily read a page from left to right and from top to bottom. They might instead skip around, scanning for pertinent information of interest… I can’t get my students to read whole books anymore…” (318).
He said because he was a teacher he was able to hang out with his wife and kids more than he would if he was in another job. I have really enjoyed my time as an exploratory teacher and very grateful I had the opportunity. It has given me the chance to see what being a teacher is like from an outside perspective. I have witnessed teachers my whole life as a student but this was the first time that I really got to see what goes in everyday to being a teacher. I have learned that it’s not as easy as it looks and I also have learned that being a teacher is not always fun and games.
My problems throughout life have mainly been educational; I have had problems in some classes. There are times when I feel overwhelmed with school and classes and there are times where I feel like I could just drop a class and things would be better. But then I talk with my family, mainly my mom, and she is always able to comfort me and always able to persuade me to stick with it and it will be alright. If my family starts giving up on me they will not be doing all these things for me but instead just let me take the easy way out of things. Randy Pausch addressed the need to connect with others on a level of respect and understanding by showing what happens when things go wrong in our lives.
Be prepared. You should meet your partner with topics of discussion in mind and/or questions you would like to ask. Sometimes partners become good friends and never need to search for something to discuss. However, this does not always happen; nor should it. Some students learn better with a language partner because they are not friends and do not get distracted as easily.
I know for some students it doesn't take that long to get to class unless talking with your friends which is the biggest thing. But don't you think if we were given the privilege to text during lunch and passing periods that it would slow down the amount of students dilly dallying in the halls. Think about it! Who are we stopping to talk to in the halls? Our friends.
Katie Gathman Professor Star College Comp 16 October 2013 Pro Co-Mingling Legislation Apart of the typical every day college experience would involve the opposite sex. Usually having mingled classes with both male and female is a good part of the college experience since it gives the opportunity to expand a persons social circle and gives the chance to intermingle with the opposite sex. Some students have come from all boy and all girl high schools, which they may not of experienced the opportunity to socialize and talk with the opposite sex. Saying all of this, I am against the Anti Co-Mingling Legislation because I believe that socialization with the opposite sex will help later in life, having the opposite sex in a classroom does
He said that students used to be introverts, conservative in their clothing and most of them were not friendly at all, and he used to have tough times when asking for money. Now, as he said, students ware whatever they want, talk to whomever without boundaries. We asked him if he likes it now more or before, he preferred not to answer but nodding his head as if it has no for both! Then, my partner, Richi, and I walked around the campus, saw the old buildings and the new ones, and watched the
