McCalla Hometown Deli Case Study I am now the proud owner of my family’s deli, The Hometown Deli that has been a part of my family since 1952. I feel very grateful and honored that I will have the opportunity to better the business and bring it up to the 21st century. I know that is will not be an easy task being that I have not had this amount of responsibility. Although I know that there will be challenges I am excited about being in charge. I am also looking forward to a continued new and improved successful business in our community. There is a rumor going around that the Wall Street Deli will be opening few blocks from our deli. When I heard that news I have to admit I was a bit scared, but at the same time am up for the challenge and what lies ahead. Now that we will have a competitor around this means we have to make some major changes such as having computers to function our business. We have to keep our customers happy and know even if they decide to try the new deli that we our superb service and now we have made and technology change for the better. I have so much work to do with our business being that Grandfather had everything in his head or written down somewhere. No way to retrieve important information such as payroll or forecast of sales projection, which if we had on a computer would make things much easier. I will be implementing the change with our new system and insure our loyal customers and employees that we had for so many year’s. I will have to put my plan in place in order for my business to continue to remain successful. If I fail to do so my competitor will move into the neighborhood and do their best to drive our customers to their new deli. The first action to take place is
