Proven Benefits of Early Childhood Interventions The purpose of this article is to show the effects of early childhood intervention in the early years of a child’s life. Early childhood intervention programs intervene in situations where poor outcomes that can impair healthy development in a child. These programs provide support for parents, child, and family members as a whole whether it be by learning activities for the child, training and encouraging parents, and enhancing the caregiving environment. The key benefits of early childhood intervention program benefits are in academic achievement, behavior, educational progression, delinquency and crime reduction, and success in the workforce. These programs also have benefits in health and reduce child maltreatment, behavior, cognition, and emotional. There was a study that was conducted to show the benefits of early intervention programs. The study took place observing two and three year old children, then observing school aged children that participated in early childhood program and then statistics from adult who were active in early childhood programs. People who participated in this study also showed a reduced dependence on social welfare use. Children who participated in this study show that they were better prepared for kindergarten. I feel that the article is very true. It makes a difference when issues are addressed early because it can help a child significantly. For example some children may not have developmentally appropriate environments which can help them grow and early intervention programs can help them dramatically. In the right environment grow in cognition, developmental milestones can be reached within their own capacity. Some children may have some developmental delays and these programs can encourage the child and with a lot of practice the child can reach the goal and get to the level
