They love praise and recognition for their ideas. It is important for the teacher to get to know the young learners and to draw on their ideas, strengths and interests. If the teacher can build on the their skills, it will make them feel important and increase their self-confidence. Adult learners on the other hand are more self-directed and will take learning seriously, as they are investing in their own education. Adults usually have a purpose in learning and need to see the personal value or reward in taking the classes.
By achieving these goals they give themselves, they are learning the process of setting up their own goals and becoming more knowledgeable. This should be taught to children all over the world because it will help them to grow into a functioning member of society which is why it is important for all cultures to practice this common goal. Children will overall feel more accomplished and efficient. Some cultures may emphasize some goals making them dominant then others for example some will focus more on education and technology but all cultures practice this common goal because no matter what culture, race or religion that you are part of this is one skill all people should develop while growing up. It is needed in order for the child to reach their full potential and become healthy adults.
The reason why I want to join Year Up is that I feel that it will give me the guidance I need to further my self for the future. I believe that Year Up is a good program for me and my peers. The reason why I believe it is a good program is because it was founded to give youth the skills an training they need. To achieve there personal goals and to be confident in furthering there education. I am a good candidate for Year Up because I have many personal values that will contribute to the Year Up program.
It is important that the teacher appreciate any input from their students, whether the answer is correct or not. This openness will instil confidence and motivation from within the group and help their learning experience. To create a positive learning environment, with a clear structure, a teacher needs to have the ability to plan their lectures or sessions effectively. With clear goals and aims which match up with the curriculum. These lessons need to be creative, incorporate activities and techniques that will engage the learner.
It not only provides more opportunities and options but also more academic potential. It also adds value when it comes to securing certain top positions. These values are given to you for working hard and achieving the status of a successful human being. Schools teach you good morals on how to do an effort, how to work hard, how to achieve things, how to become an adult, and how to work with others and get results. “The choices you make now, the people you surround yourself with, they all have the potential to affect your life, even who you are, forever” (Xplore).
Secondly, children increase social and cognitive development from positive influences that are communicated by teachers. Emphasis around Vygotsky’s theory will explain the basis of social interaction facilitating learning with the benefit of good communication (Eggen & Kauchak, 2010). Thirdly, teachers must develop high level of written and verbal communication skills. This will develop good relationships between the teacher, student and family leading to proper educational practices that will improve student’s overall outcomes will enhance their literacy skill. Finally, educators with effective communication skills prove an ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of students they are supporting (Kearns, 2012), and with appropriate delivery of good communication, student learning increases.
A support group is vital for this method. Cooperative learning is the best technique for increasing anti-bias awareness and understanding. Creating a Productive Learning Environment Teachers have long known that learning environments have to be productive for students to succeed. When creating these environments, teachers have many issues to address. Classroom arrangement and producing a goal oriented atmosphere are just the beginning. Teachers must also create a sense of community to where each student belongs and feels respected. Rules and procedures have to be enforced regularly so that students are aware of what needs to be done so that they are productive and engaged every day.
The teacher should always treat others fairly, without bias, and as an advocate for the student’s success in all areas of learning. * Supportive of the student using classroom observation and data information, as well as actual communication with the student, to help the student grow academically and socially. 2. How students are expected to behave: * They should arrive in time, well rested, and ready to work. * They should have a good attitude about what they are learning and strive for a full understanding.
Children are like sponges. I want to show my kids how to be a good person by being a good person myself. As a parent I want my children to know that they can be anything they want to be, but at the same time I am controlling their physical and moral environment so that they can be good people. I want them to be in an environment where they can develop habits of honesty, generosity, and responsibility. I think that one of the greatest things that I can do for my kids is to take them seriously and listen to them.
