How the teacher should act: * As a model to the students one is teaching, always in control as the teacher is a resource for the students to depend on at all times. Actions speak louder than words; students can depend upon the teacher who models what they want their students to perform like. The teacher should always be happy to be teaching the class; as happiness is a life goal. * Professional at all times, with the students, in the teachers’ lounge, during casual Fridays; the teacher must remain professional so the students and their parents can depend upon what is happening within the classroom and the education of the student. * As a mentor to all of the students within the classroom and school. Leading the students in a proper aspect towards lifelong learning opportunities and civic responsibilities. * Respectful of the students’, the administration, the rules within the classroom and the school. The teacher should always treat others fairly, without bias, and as an advocate for the student’s success in all areas of learning. * Supportive of the student using classroom observation and data information, as well as actual communication with the student, to help the student grow academically and socially. 2. How students are expected to behave: * They should arrive in time, well rested, and ready to work. * They should have a good attitude about what they are learning and strive for a full understanding. * They should be respectful of fellow students, teachers, administrators, and respectful of themselves. * They should respect the classroom rules and procedures. * They should display good study habits, proper collaborative efforts, and follow all the directions given to them by the teacher. 3.
