Emily, yesterday you told me that you have some concerns about whether or not take a leadership position at school. I'm glad you came to me, so we can go through the pros and cons together and hopefully you will find it helpful. In your case, you are an amazing student, our teachers are so proud of what you have achieved. In my perspective, I am really glad to hear that you are open to a leadership position and actively participating school activities. But still, there are a lot of factors to think about and feel free to interrupt me and tell me what you think. Well, you are about to go to senior year, you will probably feel busier compare to junior years. However, you have showed your potential in the past few years. Yes, you probably learnt this already in business class that when you are a leader in school, such as being a school captain, it means doing your best to be a model among students, support your fellow students and benefit the wider community, the school in your case. Can you tell me something that you can think of that you can learn from it? Yes, when you are taking on more responsibilities, you are not only contributing your time for nothing, you are also learning how to cultivating basic leadership skill sets, which is extremely important after you graduate from school environment and go into the outside world.
