If pupils see you acting kindly towards others and treating them with respect, they are likely to do the same. * Encourage children to respect each other.
In the setting in which I am situated there are policies which are relevant to promoting children and young peoples positive behaviour. Firstly the Behaviour Policy. This policy explains about behaviour and also includes the following; the schools code of conduct, rewards and sanctions and how to deal with conflict and inappropriate behaviour. The school aim to promote emotional growth, by encouraging children to take responsibility for their own actions and through developing self discipline, and respect for themselves, others and the environment. This in turn should create a caring, happy atmosphere in the school which can enable effective teaching and learning.
The students also become able to work on individual goals while also participating in the classroom community with their peers. Another beneficial quality includes the fact that each of the parents can now feel including in their education and the activities of their neighborhood schools. One of the most important qualities of this program is that the students that were once excluding into self-contained classrooms or were homebound can now develop friendships with a wide variety of other children with their own individual wants, needs and abilities. One last reason that inclusion is beneficial is that inclusion positively convinces both the school and the community to appreciate the diversity provided by the inclusion
I even cheer them on when they struggle with a task. To develop a sense of independence and pride, I let the children each day choose the classroom helpers. There are many tasks that the children are able to choose from. I structure the environment to offer opportunities for children to share information about themselves, their families, and experiences. I make it easier for the children to explore new experiences and the environments by making them feel assured of the support and availability of me, thus increasing his confidence.
My students will develop a community that respects each other in the classroom as well as out of the classroom. Once these goals have been met I feel that the rest of the year will be smooth sailing! (Gallagher, 1999-2012). In the field of education, good classroom management is essential ( Froyer & Iverson, 1999) . Encouraging and establishing student self-control through a process of promoting positive student achievement and behavior is what every classroom needs.

Understand policies and procedures for promoting children and young people’s positive behaviour. 1.1 Summarise the policies and procedures of the setting relevant to promoting children and young people’s positive behaviour. The policies and procedures relevant in my school are written in the prospectus which is available for every adult and child in the school to read. They ensure that all the children in the school understand clearly how they are expected to behave in a kind and considerate manner and also encourage them to learn in a positive environment.
The key strategic purpose of the teachers is to prepare lessons to impart information and make them as interesting as possible to keep children engaged and to promote learning by leading discussion and encourage participation. They must ensure the classroom environment is supportive for all learners. Teachers should prepare homework and assignments to assess learner’s progress and feed that back to both students and families. Support staff roles refers to any school employee allocated to assist administrators, teachers etc. to address special needs within the school.

School governors work within a school and are a critical friend to school, they offer support and advice through the schools good and bad times. They help to set high standards for the school, plan the schools future and set targets for school improvements.

Children need a positive image of themselves in order to successful learners Children need equality of opportunity to gain full access to the curriculum Active involvement makes learning more interesting, more meaningful and more likely to make sense to pupils. Problem solving and making investigations is an important part of primary education. This form of learning helps children to think more, raise questions, try out ideas and record their findings. Finding ways to make the material fun, engaging, and easy to comprehend will nurture a love of learning. Treating students with kindness and respect and helping them learn to apply that to others to create a positive and nurturing environment. * Differentiated- Making sure to include visual, audio, and tactile facets to all curriculum so that each individual will have the best chance possible to understand the material not matter their learning style.
