This being my senior year is a very important learning experience for me, and by letting me control my own circumstances and out comes at New Hampton I will probably learn and grow more than ever before. I also admire the school's emphasis on using community service as a way to shape an individual's character. I live under the belief that in order to be a well-rounded and accomplished person, one must give back to others, and understand that charity and compassion is one of man's greatest gifts. As for my goals while attending New Hampton School, well, they're quite simple. My goal is to have fun while being responsible and independent.
We experience self-discovery, self-improvement and personal growth through higher education which will help us gain more confidence, higher social skills and greater civic awareness, all of which we need for our future careers and adult lives in general. According to Chris Blake (2001), “Generally, colleges provide access to topnotch professors and experts who are constantly teaching classes, giving lectures and offering help to students in their chosen field. This type of interaction extends well beyond classroom learning and gives you an opportunity that most high school grads don't have available.” These professors will be our role models, teaching us valuable skills and lessons so we can find and increase our potentials, to be able to grow and evolve as human beings for future generations. While I was doing a practicum in Hawaii for the Early Head Start preschool, I watched an interesting encounter between one of the children and a substitute, who did not have any children of her own, nor has she ever volunteered with children before as a teacher or tutor. Kingston, a three and
For instance, by setting my expectations high, it will be easier to reach my goals that I have set for myself. Like succeeding in class as a senior at Boone Central, and being a successful athlete. To help me reach my goals I will study and work hard on the court, to maintain the responsibility of becoming an adult. In the end, expectations are a responsibility that I agree strongly on, because if you don’t expect to be successful, you more than likely will not be. Responsibilities are one of the other main parts of Barak’s speech.
Knowledge can take you far in life, the more knowledge that someone knows the better. With a college education my knowledge can expand with new skills and ideas. It will allow me to advance what I’ve learned in high school which will prepare me for life experiences that will benefit me in the long run. With a college education, I can obtain my degree which is vital because want I to be financially stable and have a career of my choice. Without this I would not be able to get a respectable job with a higher salary, support
To me Swag means to influence the best students to be the best of the best so that is what I think Swag means to me and why I think I should be in it. The reasons why I think I should be in swag. One reason why I think that I should be in swag is because I have a good attitude and not afraid to try new things. One example of why I have a good attitude is me doing all my work when I am my classes, and because I do things that will put me in the right path to life. The reason why I think that I should be in swag is because I am not afraid to try new things.
In order to attract the student body to activities such as these, I encourage the idea of asking the entire school for their opinion on how to make activities more fun and suitable for the modern, young generation. As a result of living in the 21st century, the mother of social media and the dreaded “duck face”, I believe technology is a key factor that will aid us in reaching out to the students and hearing what they will have to say. Dance themes could be incorporated into surveys and spirit day ideas could be voted on by students on various social media sites. By doing so, I strongly trust that students will be much happier with the types of activities on and off
Being chosen as a candidate for membership of the N.H.S has caused me to reflect on my personal achievements. While my ongoing strive for academic excellence is a main priority, I also know to be a member of N.H.S you need to be a well-rounded student. My extracurricular activities, leadership qualities, involvement in the community, and my work ethic is compatible with the caliber of past and future leaders of National Honor Societies. If someone can excel in extracurricular activities as well as school, in my eyes, that is what it takes to succeed not only in school but life. I was a competitive gymnast from age three to thirteen, and then went right into making the Shelby Jr. High School 7th grade volleyball team.
Teacher to student ration is very important; not just to the students, but is also greatly expressed as an important tool for teachers to maintain success at Mount Saint Jo. Both of these two universities offer a great student to teacher ratio and either one would be a great choice for a student wanting to further their education. Both colleges believe in doing whatever it takes to make sure that the student has the greatest chance at success. They both are thriving colleges that academically based and they believe in putting the students’ needs first. A student planning to further there college at either one of these two, according to the student to teacher ratio, would choose
ALHS Leadership The reason I would like to join ASB is because I would like to get involved and help other people get involved with the school activities. Also I feel like can help people make the right choose and encourage people to come to our school events. Another reason I would like to be in ASB is because I really want to participate in the schools groups on campus and this one I found as one of my favorite. I choose to join the committee for athletics because I love going to the games, it’s so fun and entertaining watching the games. I have not been in a leadership before but I’m very responsible, caring, respectful, and trustworthy towards my peers.
Rewarding students with money, toys and privileges for their academic achievements may seem as a reasonable way to improve the student’s academic performance, but the only way to genuinely motivate students to do good in school is through intrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation encourages students to strive beyond their curriculum – it develops a passion for learning that can drive them to success in higher levels of education and will stay with them for the rest of their
