I would tell the new director to get out and walk around the hospital to introduce himself. This way people can put a face with a name and know who the leaders are talking about when they say new director of ambulatory care. Some other advice would be to send out a memo to all the departments informing them of the meeting and that they all must attend because it is mandatory for them to be in the meetings and if not they will be held responsible according to their actions. I would let them know that the meeting is to benefit them also. 2. There are plenty of ways you can balance the need to represent the elderly. As I read in the lesson there is a way you can manage a situation of this. You can use a typology is to figure out what type of team you need and if it will work best for your organization. You will have to determine the function or purpose, decisional authority, temporal nature, time and space, diversity, accountabilities and membership fluidity and boundary permeability.(Shortell and Kaluzny’s, 2012) 3. As a team member, I would suggest that the management team get together and hold a meeting where they discuss nothing but ways to improve their ability to work together so that they may make better decisions for the organization, that they set goals to work towards and that they make a list showing what is wrong with management team and how they think it can be better. I feel that if they make the list exposing the problems will work out better. I say this because then they will see where their down fall is at in them as a team. 4. You would be challenged with learning your team, employers and the way that they work. The biggest challenge would be getting everyone to trust you as a leader. In approaching these
