It will more than likely take his subordinates and co-workers even longer to trust that he has changed and that he will adhere to his new found values and attitudes. He needs to work on being more considerate. When he sends out emails that berates his subordinates he is disregarding his employee’s feelings. The emails he sends out are harsh and accusatory, such as asking “Why aren’t you as committed to this project as I am?” (Daft, 2011, p.129) This tone is offensive and does not work towards a solution to the issue. Along the same lines, he needs to be more respectful.

SUPPORTING INDIVIDUALS WITH SPECIFIC COMMUNICATION NEEDS TASK C It is crucial for a support worker to be aware and take the matter carefully, because the capability to make decisions among individuals is different. it may looks quite simple to think that people with mental impairment, physical illness or people how have got language barriers, may have affect their capabilities to express agreement. A professional carer will understand how to work sensitively with service user individually and design goals to achieve successful outcomes. The mental capacity act clearly defines that every adult has the right to make their own decisions. It must be assumed that they have the capacity to do so, unless it has been proven otherwise.
My old counselor and I are very good friends now. We started becoming friends while I was in counseling after I had told him that I wasn’t worthy enough to have friends. When I left counseling, he suggested that I not call him for a while, so I could continue to grow. He explained the code of ethics and said he wouldn’t be a good friend if he broke them. I will say in one way it hurt, but I also understood.
Describe different ways to help an individual challenge decisions made by others (such as medical practitioners, social care workers and family members: Standing up for people that are self-confident or that lack confidence ensuring that they aware that the individual is unhappy, but ensuring that you are not putting words into their mouths and interrupting them while they are speaking. If while you are attending the meeting you feel that they are confusing the individual then you can speak out as an advocate. You may also have to write to certain people about a matter and must ensure you make clear and explain to them what you are writing and also ensuring that you are writing word for word in what they want to
The therapist experiences unconditional positive regard for the client The therapist accepts the person as they are, puts no condition on valuing them, separates the behaviour from the person. Listening to my inner coach has made me restore faith in my abilities, is supportive, and leaves a feel-good effect. Session 7 saw us identify areas of our own lives that may be causing stress, which for me is finding a balance between work and university. The belief behind this stress is that I must do well at uni, and give it priority to everything else, but I must also earn some money to survive, so as not to feel as though my partner is ‘carrying’ me. When I thought about the underlying issues of the stress, I realised that it was mainly due to the fact that my time management was lacking, so the plan that I developed to reduce this stress in my life was to prioritise my time better. This plan included: * Telling work that I could only do 2 days a week, being Mondays and Fridays * Getting a calendar to work out when all university assessments were due, so that I always have it out in front of me * Making a timetable of when I’m at school, work and fit home study time into the
Issues in the case Through the case I was able to identify several issue between business and information technology. First being poor communication between the two. This problem was immediately made clear. On page 78 there was a good example of this when Paul Gutierez talks to Jenny about how the new technology meeting went. The IT team had the business team so confused during the meeting that they eventually just tuned out and IT never actually got to talking about how the new technology could be used for marketing and why it was a good idea.
Question 1: There are several major problems facing the credit card division. First and foremost, their customers are not satisfied with the services they have been receiving, but BankUSA seems to think they are doing a good job. The discrepancies between the consumer and the company lead to more issues within, causing them to have a rocky internal system. In order to better communicate with their customers, BankUSA is trying to implement a new internal and external survey that helps them see eye to eye. Other problems that BankUSA is facing are low employee morale and miscommunications within, which become evident when they try to discuss options for improving the surveys and employees give conflicting feedback.
I will be considerate of the feelings of others involved and always keep focused on the issues themselves, avoiding any personal criticisms that might create antagonism and deflect attention from solving those issues. As much as possible, I will keep supervisors informed of my actions, both through informal discussion and formal memorandums. I will be accurate in my observations and claims, and keep formal records documenting relevant
