Drill team gave me the knowledge that grades in high school do play an important role in life and I knew that if I put enough heart into it I would succeed. My coaches made an impact on me because they differentiated me from other and made me realize that I made a huge difference to the team. They gave me the opportunity to showcase what I had, which made me sense I was notable and helped to raise my confidence. I have never been able to adjust to situations as well as others but the confidence I gained from drill team experiences helped to change that. My confidence plays a big role in the person I am today.

Whenever I didn’t understand something, I would become discouraged and give up. My absence of effort showed in my grades. The students that truly want to be a part of a sport would strive for the opportunity to be on the team. An individual can argue that not all students are great in academics so therefore those students will not have the opportunity to play sports. That statement is not true. The standard is being set to allow students to do their best and sometimes their best is a “C”; that is acceptable. At that time this will give room of improvement with tutors and other resources that will allow the students to achieve higher grades.
With showing the student the data, some students may feel that they are lacking the confidence level or the digital literacy skill that they may feel out of place.
