How to be a successful high school student? Being a successful high school student has always been many students’ ambition. Many students assume that it is undemanding to become one, but they do not realize how difficult it is to become successful throughout the school year, especially when one seeks for perfection and excellence. Although there are many more methods to achieve excellence and success in high school, the preparation to become a successful high school student involves having a good time management skill, good study habits, and the motivation to push oneself. These steps are necessary for students to have a promising and successful school year. These steps will be a valuable aid to their three years of high school. Developing a good time management skill is one of the most crucial steps to become a successful high school student. There are 24 hours in a day, and there are seven days in a week. Subtracting the hours of school, sleep, and family outings, students only have an average of 7 to 8 hours per day to do their homework. It is a skill that a successful high school student must have. If one is not motivated, it will be very difficult for one to excel in the subject that one is learning. Motivation helps a person to learn even when he or she does not like the subject because that person is keeping a positive attitude at learning, and being committed into excelling in that subject. It is very difficult to learn when one is angry or in a bad mood. Important knowledge given by teachers just doesn’t go into the brain as fast as when someone is in a good mood. Having a strong motivation is like setting goals for oneself. If one is motivated, one will try one’s very best to excel in the subject. Goals are meant to be met, and motivation is the exact key to reach that destination
