These articles have reminded me that my schoolwork even now is very important, as it prepares me for the future. Last year, I was a lot more ignorant about colleges and what I
What degree should I get? After asking myself these questions, I felt like there was no chance I could get into college and earn a degree that would better my future. Some people may find returning to school a very easy decision but, it takes motivation, determination, and confidence. I always thought when I finished high school I would take a year off and then start college. Most things do not happen the way we expected and, I did not start college a year after high school.
I wasn’t able to do a lot of things that I wanted to do because of my grades. At one point I was actually ineligible to play sports, what are everything to me. My parents influenced me to do better in school by allowing me to get my license the day my grades went above a 3.0. It took me awhile but by the end of the semester I had a 3.1 and was able to get my driver’s license. My grades at an all-time low were around a D average, I was able to go from that to a B average in one semester.
I do not necessarily think it will make me healthier, although those things are part of a healthier mind. I have a wonderful marriage, family, and I think good genes and I have not graduated or been to college in over three years. They are a great support system and my life would be long and healthy, especially happy without college, it is just something personally I have always wanted to have a degree and a job where if I needed to I could support myself and
I thought that I would make friends right away and do well in school, but I did not. People were not only very judgmental but they would bully me for being different. At the age of nine or ten I could not understand why they hated me so much. There were many times where I would come home to my family crying my eyes out. It has taken me years to make good friends, but now that I have them I feel ambitious and more motivated.
Not everyone can go to college to better themselves, but I was a lucky one, and I am blessed that I am getting a chance to make a better person out of myself, by going to college. College is important to me. I am the 1st one in my immediate family to go to college so it’s a big deal to everyone. I just do not want to let them down. Another reason why I decided to go to college was because in my recent experience in trying to find a job I realized that you employer takes you more seriously
I see my friends getting good jobs and pursuing their education and I was a sixteen year old mother with nothing to look forward to. My life have change so much and my goal was to go back to school and complete my education. For the past three years my mother and brothers always encouraged me to continue where I left off. Finally one day I decided to reapply to a secondary school to complete in education. I try looking for a job first to take care of my daughter and pay for my finances but that wasn’t successful.
Here I am today almost ten years later after dropping out pursing a college degree. I have learned from life experiences that a diploma can get you but so far. College is my key to making something of my life. Finding better opportunities through having an education that I never thought I would be cut out for after my high school experience. The college experience opens all types of doors in your mind and in the world.

I believe with the right motivation, being around positive people, and being organized can really determine a student from being successful or dropping out. Although there are many strategies, without incorporating these three methods, students will most likely not achieve success in education. First of all every student needs a motivation to get a higher education after high school, but the question is how are students going to stay motivated throughout the semester?
I missed the last three weeks of my sophomore year; however I got the grades I earned the whole trimester, consequently all A’s and B’s. I rested for the summer then my junior year rolled around. As junior year started, I was not allowed to take any honors or AP classes. All my classes were academic and I struggled and could not do the school work; however I was working as hard as I could to pursue my desire to get better and try to get good grades. I started my journey to pursue my desire by staying after for extra help and work with my accommodations by taking extra time on my quizzes and tests.
