My friend and I both realized that Tinker bell costume sizes are up to 5 years old in Disney store. My friend's daughter was very upset because she is 5 years old, but she doesn't fit the size of 5 since she is overweight. I have seen couple of times with this little girl's mom suffered from the social and psychological pain and self-esteem drop since her daughter's beginning of kindergarten. In these days, some children need cholesterol medicine for high risk of cardiovascular disease. We all know that childhood obesity has risen and we have to figure out the fundamental reason of our children's overweight. There are multiple factors that play a role in childhood obesity, but the most common reasons are: overeating, lack of exercise and parents are not responsible for their children's good health. First, in the food industry, they advertised through the media and sell worst kind of junk food contains a high fat, high sugar and salty food. Many fast food combos have come with sugar sodas instead of natural fruit juices. One of the craziest things we encounter is the lack of consideration of high calorie; high sugar drinks in the diet. People have to make the switch to healthier options like water over soda/ pop or 100% juice instead of high fructose drinks. Many fast food companies increased the portion size of children's meals and advertise super sized food and give temptation to our children for more food intake. And how about free refill of drinks? Second, the lack of activity is obviously a problem today. Compared to previous generations who grew up in the playground, back to two generations ago, when I was a kid, after school, children usually play outside home until dinner time with sweat whole body. But these days, there is a huge difference of children's activity pattern. Physical activity is essential to children's well-being,
