Nowadays, studying new language is very popular on over the world. Many people know more than one language. Knowing a new language is very interesting and helpful. New language brings us new information from new countries and cultures... But “ How to study a new language?” This question is not too difficult to answers.
The more they practice and the more teachers and parents instill this in their minds, the better they will become. Perfect practice, makes perfect. Most people would probably have trouble with trying to remember how they learned to read. I would have to say that I am a person who loves to read and I think that is it really an amazing thing. Also, I am someone who is involved in education and research and I think that it is amazing how learning to read is said to be a talent that it potentially impossible.
Some of the most important skills I have learned are communication, time management, organization, and discipline. By watching the chain of command flow, I have learned how information travels and have learned communication skills. Strict rules on timeliness are highly enforced in the JROTC program. I have learned that being early leaves a better impression and is also more beneficial than arriving on time or late. These time management skills have already helped me and I know that they will continue to benefit me.
Reading literature develops our taste. Among its benefits are the enrichment of our language and extension of our knowledge. Literature brings us an emotional charge and the chance to share in other people’s life experiences. However, in addition to valuing literature treasures, we need to know some important rules about how to consume literature. It demands from us respect, attention, and comprehension.
I now have more confidence in terms of using online literature as a part of an assessment. I also feel as if I have made great progress while working in an online group. I have learned the skill of being able to utilise online publishing tools, and which of those are considered to be useful. By using a process of evaluation I have been able to distinguish which online sources are relevant to me, I have a much clearer idea on how to strengthen my own work by using supportive literature. At first I was very nervous about finding information online and the online collaboration, but being a part of this unit was extremely empowering and it has taught me to be more understanding of each individual situation when working collaboratively.
The traditional concept of being literate meant being adept in reading and writing text and using language to read, write, listen and speak. As the world grows closer in terms of communication, the complexity of diversity of languages, the many ways of how people communicate today, there has been a shift towards a modern notion that literacy occupies multiple dimensions (Lankshear, Snyder and Green, 2000). Hence we cannot just see literacy in the traditional terms but to expand it to recognize that there are multiple facets of literacy. Due to globalization, the dynamic nature of technology, the ever so fast evolution of society and the idea of multiple literacies have brought about many complex contemporary definitions of literacy. “Literacy is the flexible and sustainable mastery of a repertoire of practices with the texts of traditional and new communications technologies via spoken language, print and multimedia” (Luke and Freebody, 2000, p. 9).
It was worth every question and worksheet to where I am now. I have had a great year and was faced with many challenges but all in all I did a pretty good job and improved all my English skills hugely. I’ve always been a good reader through school but even my reading skills improved this year. We read a selection of great books that have helped me understand big concepts. I felt that Night by Elsie Wesile and Anthem by Alice Hoffman should be taught next year because they were the most interesting and had the most impact on me as the reader.
Professor Kamerman ENG 301 28 June 2009 Accelerated Reader Program: Benefit or Detriment Reading is vital to literacy; knowing how to read is necessary and assures success in most fields of work. Reading helps with writing as well; a person who reads more than they play games or watch television will find it much easier to come up with the words necessary to express their thoughts and ideas in writing. Teaching children to read is the beginning to providing them with the tools they need for a successful life, academically and in their careers. The purpose here is to explore the Accelerated Reader/Reading Renaissance (AR/RR) program and discuss whether it truly is beneficial to students by providing them with the opportunity to progress

The benefits of being bilingual are better career options, helps you communicate with a broader range of people, and if taught to children, they’ll grow to be more knowledgeable. One of the best advantages of being bilingual is that you’ll have better career options, because you’ll be able to choose from a wider range of job offers. I make sure that at least my sentences are easily read and I try to avoid run-ons. I feel I could use a lot of improvement particularly in grammar and my vocabulary. I am hoping through this class my weakness list will lessen as my strengths increase. Overall, writing is nor my forte. I would really like to improve so my essays and other important papers become
