Giving staff better training in any business will improve the service, less mistakes will occur and staff will feel worthwhile. There seems to be no respect for the night managers. This is a big weakness as managers would need respect by other staff to make it work. As there is a lot of food wastage in the business, it is down to all the managers to control. A good example of discrimination is where a workplace will not hire handicap person. An example for this is a handicap person working in a high society restaurant. There are places such as fast food chains will hire the handicap doing the lobby or even dishes. The handicap will work hard real hard to prove they can do the job.
1.2 The hospitality literature Hospitality literature could be identified as the navigator. Training and management development literature sees turnover as a problem that could have a negative impact on the hospitality industry. Moreover it is defined that the employees turnover is chronic in this industry, it is something that has to be endured. Managers in this industry are free to follow the advices given by the literature. It is why we can see the hospitality literature as a Navigator rather than director.
