Also, a more specific type of person who could have read this could a historian. This is because; historians study many significant periods in history which would relate to the Cold War. On a personal level, the author wrote the text to show the tragedy that the Cold War was and how technology would move forward while humans do not. In a way, the story is directed to the audience to show what the future could be, without a doubt, if no one would take action to resolve a problem that can affect the future greatly, including mankind. This is all poop.
Other aspect that I think that was good that at the end I was asking questions to the interviewer which showed that I was interested in the job role. This would show to the interview that I was interested in the job role and I showed interest. Although there was many aspects that were positive there was also negatives which we could have improved on. For example when I was keep looking on that sheet for the answer which should I did not remember all of the lines for the interview. The interview would also put pressure on us by looking at that us all the time instead of writing something down to make it look professional.
Restrepo The documentary Restrepo portrayed war life in the most vivid way. Blood and Gory didn’t need to be shown for viewers to understand the hardships that come with being a soldier. Restrepo, showed the real emotion behind war, and situations that make average life seem like a piece of cake. Soldiers step out knowing the risks and the consequences, but step out with pride to fight for their country. With firefights, life and death situations, and the mourning of their fellow soldiers, Restrepo showed that when it comes to war, even when we win, everyone still loses.
He wanted them to be able to fix their problems themselves and let the government do more important jobs and have to worry about them less. He wanted them to become strong, independent people, but when America’s situation was as bad as it was nothing the people did could get them out of that situation. The government needed to step in and help them get out of the hole because they were too far in to pull themselves out. This concept had good intentions, but failed miserably. FDR’s Liberal ideas set new ground rules for the coming presidents to follow and his spirit and work ethic were going to be the top bar the next Presidents would have to compete with, even still
Not only are we facing a uniquely shadowy enemy, one committed to inflicting mass civilian casualties on U.S. soil. But for the first time in our history we are entering a war of significant size and probable duration (administration officials have said it may last for "years") without drafting young men to fight the threat. Not only are we not drafting our young men. We are not even planning to draft them. Elected leaders are not even talking about the possibility of
Surviving as a normal citizen from the mid-20th century in the same situation as these survivors would be near impossible. Putting me at a greater disadvantage, I am from the 21st century with an incomparable to the amount of skill that the survivors had. Personally, I would not be able to fathom the amount or degree of pain endured by these survivors of the Gremlin Special crash. In addition, if everything around me was burning up, and I was surrounded with bodies, I would run to safety and assess the situation. With adrenaline pumping, I would look for other survivors, and help as many people as people with my basic understanding and certification of first aid, and CPR.
The Inspector believes that “we are members of one body” and that “we are responsible for each other.” This contradicts what Birling was saying at the beginning of the play. Also the Inspector repeats the word “we.” This shows that everyone needs to help one another because we cannot get by on our own. Priestley suggests that needs to be a change in upper class because “there are millions and millions and millions of Eva Smith and John Smith…with their lives, their hopes and fears, their suffering and chance of happiness.” This presents that the people who can help these “John Smiths” (are the upper class) need to offer their support and comfort to them so that they can be happy, however Mr Birling does not have these emotions as we have see through out the play. The Inspector arrives at very good moments in time in the play. He arrives just as Mr Birling is saying “community and all that nonsense”, this implies that the Inspector is going to challenge Mr Birling on everything he just said, to see if he is correct.
Additionally, it’s important to study about Jefferson, because this can help us to resolve our problems in society and learn from the past. It’s necessary to know about Jefferson and the history of this country to understand today’s society. However, comparing his words with his acts it was impossible to realize what was done sincerely and honestly.
Rod Shelac Professor J.G. Hard ENG 101 April 14, 2011 The First Shot I believe in the importance of history in our lives. It gives us information about what happened in the past. It introduces us to our mistakes so that in the future we can live a better life. It will also help us in understanding people and societies.
The point of this is to think before you do or say something. Everyone has a mind and a right to be treated like a human, one of God’s children. The Nazi’s took away all their dignities and human right to live and exist here on Earth. There is still a lot of hatred in the world that still exists today as it did 72 years ago during the Holocaust. If there was no hate it would be a “Perfect World” as some people say, but unfortunately there will always be hate in the World.
