Level 3 Diploma in Business and Administration Knowledge Questions Unit 1 Learning outcome 1: Understand how to plan and prioritise work and be accountable to others 1.1Explain the purpose and benefits of planning work, and being accountable to others for own work The Purpose of planning work is to ensure all areas of each task are completed. Planning can be done in many ways e.g. using spider grams or flow charts, these are the methods I would use for planning. When a plan is devised you can look over your plan when ever you need this also means changes can be made to if needed. There are many purposes to planning work. Planning helps so that a task is not duplicated and It allows you to manage your time effectively. Planning can help you to reach your goals, planing is used so everything is made a bit easier and you know exactly what you are supposed to be doing and when you are supposed to be doing it. It is quite important to plan your work, you can ensure you are staying on the right track with your goals. For Planning to be effective and work as well a it can the most important tasks should be listed at the top of the list and the least important tasks listed at the bottom. The tasks performed should be ticked off from the list once completed so you can keep on track with what you have done. When you have a viable plan you can make this assessable to other members of staff/team this allows them to take other the task that has been planned if needed or complete some of the tasks. It also allows yourself and others to work out a time scale for completion of the task/work. 1.2 Explain the purpose and benefits of negotiating realistic targets for work and ways of doing so The purpose of negotiating realist targets for work is that it would make the company grow and reach its full potential.
