There are a lot of disasters that face earth and the human existence. One of the most important and dangerous disasters is the global warming. What is Global Warming? . Global Warming is the increase of Earth's average surface temperature due to effect of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels or from deforestation, which trap heat that would otherwise escape from Earth People should be fully aware of that phenomena and it’s dangerous effects and the causes of it. There are many causes of this phenomena but to simplify; the main cause for global warming is the over heat . which comes from the sun rays that comes to earth and could not be reflected back out because of problems in the atmosphere. As a result…show more content…
Fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas that were formed from the remains of plant material deposited during the earth's carboniferous period. People have known for only a few thousand years that coal, oil, and natural gas can be burned to provide energy.Cars and other vehicles can produce up to 1.5 billion tons of CO2 annually, and coal-burning power plants can produce 2.5 of CO2. Currently five billion tons of fossil fuel is smoldered every year. This causes that carbon dioxide enters the atmosphere.( Nasa 2014 ) As result of that the earth's atmosphere traps the sun's heat which rise the temperature of earth. Fossil fuels; when burnt they give out carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas which is the main aspect of global warming. Rise in temperature of earth have resulted in the melting of polar ice caps, flooding of low lying areas, rise in sea levels. If such conditions occur the face of earth will face radical changes. ( Nasa 2014 ). Another cause for the global warming is the increasing usage of chemical fertilizers on croplands In the last half of the 20th century, the use of chemical fertilizers has risen radically. The high rate of application of nitrogen-rich fertilizers has effects on the heat storage of cropland and the run-off of excess fertilizers creates ‘dead-zones’ in the nile river and seas. one of these sources, Are tides. Tides are characterized by oscillate currents in the ocean caused by the rise and fall of the ocean surface due to the gravitational attraction among the Earth, Moon, and Sun. A tidal turbine is similar to a wind turbine in that it consists of a rotor that turns due to its relations with water during the ebb and flow of a tide . These laws should be enforced in order to help to raise awareness on this problem in order to save our
