The film portrays the issues surrounding global warming in a slideshow fashion while Mr. Gore injects personal anecdotes. As the production company behind the film summarizes, “An Inconvenient Truth is not a story of despair but rather a rallying cry to protect the one earth we all share” (“Plot Summary”, par. 1). The film itself is an example of the media’s impact and portrayal of the issue of global warming. Many times these portrayals are politically motivated, however, and it is important for the consumer to decipher this.
Peter Schwartz and Spencer Reise state nuclear power to be the best option to pollution and the earth’s ozone decay. In their article called Nuclear Power Is the Best Way to Address Global Warming, they give facts and statements such as “coal-fired plant releases 100 times more radioactive material than an equivalent nuclear reactor.”(Schwartz & Reise, 2009) These facts are undeniable and scary to anyone that hears. The thought of building more nuclear power plants to meet power demand and combat the pollution is irresponsible, due to time issues. The nation’s power and pollution issues are spiraling out of control. Understandably, there is a need for nuclear power plants and the benefits they possess, but more power plants are not the answer needed to solve today’s environmental threats.
He also points out the fact that people should focus on the present consumption of energy, rather than the future for energy conservation. Nader said that people should start conserving energy right now, such as not using electricity when it is not needed. Shellenberger has the argument other alternative energies such as coal cause over 3000 deaths. As the demand for energy increases with revolutionized technology, Shellenberger believes that nuclear energy would be much better compared to other alternative energies. Nader comes back with the fact that we should focus on conserving the alternative use of energies given to us today and not to create power plants that have additional risks caused by nuclear energy.
He dose this in order to prove that global warming is taking a huge effect on our climate. Liberals believe humans play a major part of global warming. The conservatives show that it’s the earth natural cycle and that the earth has ben heating and cooling through out history. Lisa Moore argues that the global warming is a lie to get a global warming tax and tells the truth on the swindles the liberals tell. It the article “ Swindles in the global warming” by lisa Moore claims that the liberals are just trying to get money from the government.
Hot as Heck! Many terrible things have affected the global population such as holocaust, Rwanda Genocides and the bubonic plague all taking thousands and thousands of lives, but there’s a problem that is much bigger that is threatening our planet as a whole. We all unknowingly face the issue of global warming and add onto it on a daily basis, but how so? There are numerous amount of ways that we do so, nearly everything we do is directly fueled by fossil fuels or coal. Whether you drive your car to work, turn on your light to illuminate a dark room or just watching television, you are burning using up energy that is being processed at a coal plant.
If ongoing pollution cannot be reduced, then the climate is just going to keep getting worse day by day. As a result, not only will a single nation be suffering, but also the entire planet will change due to global warming. Of course, if people can make efficient adaptation plans to control the ongoing global warming and climate change, in the future it can prevent the threat of global warming and many other climate change issues. Thermal runaway reaction occurs when the heat generated by a reaction goes beyond the heat removal caused by the available cooling capacity. Heat is accumulated leading to a gradual rise in the temperature of the reaction mass; this causes an increase to the rate of reaction and increases the speed of rate of heat generation. Thermal runaway reactions are always said to be dangerous on an industrial scale since the reactions go faster in an industry where they tend to reach higher temperatures. As you would already know that exothermic reactions tend to release quite a large amount of heat, so when the reaction mixture gets very warm, a very hot exothermic reaction begins.

His purpose is to make these people aware and think about the destruction of their actions in everyday life. For example, he bullet points his findings in a way that makes them stand out more than if they were all in paragraph form. Such as “Heat waves will be more frequent and intense”(315) followed by another bullet point “droughts and wildfires will occur more often”(316). These are clear and precise points written to stand out and grab your attention.
Global Warming!! Global Warming is the increase of the average temperature on Earth. As the Earth is getting hotter, disasters like hurricanes, droughts and floods are getting more frequent. Global warming is very heart breaking and is becoming a serious problem in a negative way. It needs to come to the end and the only ones that can stop this epidemic is “us”.
