3. Climate change has had several impacts on the animals of the arctic tundra. Polar bears, even though they hunt on ice and not on the tundra have seen their food supply decrease due to the melting ice. Since the polar bears can’t find food on ice they look for food in the tundra usually near humans which has led humans to have to shoot polar bears since they became too dangerous near humans. Also, since new species of plants have invaded the arctic some animals can’t adapt to them, like the Caribou which numbers have decreased.
Although there are a lot of people not taking the consequences and their impact on global warming seriously, it`s already a huge danger thinking about future generations and the protection of humanity. Therefore humans have to understand that if they don’t improve their way of living they are going to destroy our planet. Firstly it’s important to mention that climate changes triggered by the nature have always been there. Due to naturally inevitable principles like the continental drift, variability in solar radiation, chain in the Earth's orbit and volcanic emissions, ice ages and temperatures like nowadays alternated. Scientists have correctly been showing that if we had no greenhouse effect the earth’s average temperature would be much colder and consequently human life would be impossible.
In the past few months, Pope Francis started to identify that climate change is destroying our home. A powerful statement by Pope Francis is Encyclical Laudato Si "The climate is a common good, belonging to all and meant for all. At the global level, it is a complex system linked to many of the essential conditions for human life." This passage from Encyclical Laudato Si identifies that climate change is affecting the way we connect and understand the essential means to be human. Without light and dark they are no life and without emotions, they are no climate.
The second reason why snow leopards are endangered is the global warming . As climate change causes temperatures to ruse, snow lines are receding, which means that snow leopards must move further up the mountain slopes as well. While they get higher ,the vegetation becomes more few, which means that the herbivores that they prey on are in limited supply as well, and the leopards are having trouble finding enough food. In conclusion, snow leopards has been listed as an endangered species for so many reasons , Two important causes of it are hunting and global warming. In my opinion, people should help out rescue groups who are trying to save these animals .I hope everyone read and spread the world about these beautiful animals with their unusual light green eyes because knowledge is always important
Many scientists now agree that Canada is already experiencing climate change. Abnormal water flows from the North Atlantic to the Arctic Ocean are causing unprecedented warming in some
Great Lakes: Great Decisions Ignatius (Nate) B Perry Sr Professor Natalie Marsh Business Administration Capstone BUS 499 April 9, 2012 Perform an analysis of the social / demographic, technological, economic, environmental / geographic, and political / legal / governmental segments to understand the general environment facing Great Lakes. Describe how Great Lakes will be affected by each of these external factors Based on the information provided by the Great Lakes study, I have concluded that Great Lakes was stuck between a rock and a hard spot. The pressure the company was under to stop selling its lead additives for lead gasoline was getting to be unbearable and the company’s reputation was going down the tubes pretty fast. Even thought legally Great Lakes was doing nothing wrong as a matter of fact if you can corner 90% of any market legally you are doing exceptional business. The technology in the developing countries had progressed to nthe point where they didn’t use leaded gasoline at all, but the undeveloped countries technology had not gotten there at this point.
Lipoczi 2 First of all, scientists blamed the climate change as one of the most potential reasons by that the mammoth could fade away. According to a journal, “Near the end of the ice age, as the ocean surface temperature cooled at mid and high latitude, and evaporation slowed, the equable ice age climate would have changed to a drier, more continental climate with more seasonal extremes” (Oard). It was
Nature had given to homo-sapiens an authority to dominate and control the earth but homo-sapiens have abused this authority by harming nature itself. Therefore, we should change our relation with nature and civilization; we need to change our mentality by living in ecocentric world, not in anthropocentric civilization any longer. Anthropocentric worldview causes many problems also living with this mentality has many bad results and one of these results is global warming. Because of global warming temperature of oceans has increased four times that it had in 1900s. (http://www.ghf-ge.org/human-impact-report.pdf).
The New Ice Age: The Possibility of the Emergence of an Ice Age as a Result of Global Warming For years now, scientists and politicians alike have argued to accuracy of the theory of global warming. While a growing majority of scientists see global warming as a looming threat to the well-being of mankind, there are still a few that doubt the very existence of a threat at all. Within the group of scientists who believe that global warming is indeed happening, there are some who believe that it is simply an inevitable result of natural climate fluctuation, consistent with the changes in climate that we’ve seen in history. Many however, believe that global warming is the direct impact of manmade greenhouse gases being emitted into our troposphere. The evidence for the existence of global warming is plentiful and reliable, and most scientists scoff at those who deny a theory that they believe should be considered a fact.
First of all to understand the importance of the Kyoto protocol there is a need to figure out what it’s all about and why greenhouse gases are considered so dangerous. After being produced by factories, machines, cars etc. these gases go up to the atmosphere, acting there as glass in a usual greenhouse – they let all the heat in but don’t let the heat out of the atmosphere. And the more greenhouse gases are produced, the more threatened our environment is. It causes global climate changes including the melting of glaciers, floods in one part of our planet and droughts in the other, heavy snowfalls, tsunami and other nature anomalia.
