Effective communication is very important for variety of reasons: Making relationships – Effective communication helps to create new relationships not only with a child, but with parents, careers and colleagues too. To make new relationships effectively you need to use verbal and non – verbal communication, and you need to be friendly, also smiling a lot. Developing relationships - it is important not only to make new relationships, it is also very important to develop and maintain it. To do that professionals need to maintain friendly and supportive approach, and be interested in what other people are doing or feeling. Expressing thoughts and ideas – in order to encourage children and young adults to talk about what they learned and what they think, or encourage them to express themselves imaginatively, communication skills are also needed.

My World of Music Music plays an integral and emotional role in our lives. We all have some stories and memories tied to certain songs that we hear. Music helps in shaping our identity as we mature through life. A discourse community is a group of people who speak and share the same interests in certain topics, knowledge, and vocabulary using similar jargons specific to that community. I successfully joined a discourse community of a music class to learn the skills of playing an electronic keyboard in my sophomore year of high school.
Aural/Auditory Learners: Spoken/Heard instructions facilitate learning for his type of individual. Lecture sessions, discussion groups, emails and recordings are devices that helps people with this learning preference to explore and discuss concepts with others and understand what works best for them in learning environments. Read/Write Learners: Learners who choose this preference learn best when they receive and return information as words. Communication may be penned or typed. The mechanisms of choice are PowerPoint, the Internet, dictionaries, text signs and written responses.
One effective method for me is playing music while writing essays for English. I have found that this type of music is a fantastic way to become inspired and it aids in intellectual development. As a musician I have always gone to music when I am lacking inspiration and it has never failed me. Whenever I have an essay to write for English, the first thing I do is start up my music. Writing is not a challenging task for me but it does demand a certain imaginative spark that I find in music.

A student’s native language affects his or her language and academic outcomes by being surrounded by other students who are also ELL with the same English acquisition. Students may utilize their home language more in conversations when speaking to classmates who are from the same home language group (Willoughby, 2009). In speaking to other ELL students whose home language is different, ELL students, use English but due to the students’ limitations in their English proficiency, they expose each other to more broken English I will value the instructional power of a word wall by frequently utilizing, maintaining, and updating it.All too often, secondary educators miss important opportunities to build the literacy skills of all students.
What is significant is that music has the ability to shape, motivate, and inspire a person’s emotions easily, and effectively. Identified strategies are there and also help but the person would prefer the other strategies over them. As discussed earlier, kinesthetic strategies embody actively engaging into the lesson. On the contrary, aural study strategies engage “attending classes, discussions, and tutorials, discussing topics with others and teachers, and using a tape recorder.” People who are good listeners and learn better by hearing have aural strategies.
