Upon completing this lab, you will be able to 1. create a new Visio file for database design; 2. using the data requirements and the business rules provided, develop a conceptual model (ERD), including attribute data types and required field lengths; and 3. create a new MS Access database based on the ERD. Amazingly, the first e-mail was sent 43 years ago, back in 1971, and then it took a further 28 years before we saw the first online social network, Friends Reunited, in 1999 (The University of North Carolina, 2013). Now in 2014, living in a world filled with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, it seems as if the web is developing at an exponential rate. From the beginning of this unit I felt quite comfortable, as I am familiar with the Internet due to habitual daily use. I believe my computer skills are of a level where I am comfortable with new challenges. At the beginning of the unit I saw myself as what
When you use sources, include all in-text citations and references in APA format. There are several scientific practices that need to be observed when working in a laboratory setting. First a student must be able to construct explanations, and secondly they must be able to utilize critical thinking skills through the use of mathematics, information and computer technology and computational thinking. As an effective teacher one must be able to communicate the value of these skills to their students and show the value of being thorough with both of these steps. When teaching a student about constructing explanations it is important to understand what the purpose of the explanation is trying to say; being thorough is going to be the best option as the more details that are available the more likely the person reviewing the experiment will understand what was trying to be done.
Each table consists of columns and rows. The database engine is responsible for building or structuring the data in the database. It is also responsible for storing and retrieving data. It can accept SQL requests from application programs written by users, known as the DBMS (Database Management System) components. The components of a typical DBMS consist of forms facility, report writer, interactive query tool, application program and database front-end.
MNP 221 John Keselring 10/19/2012 Lesson 4 Labs 4.1 Installing the DNS Server role. In this part of the lab I had to install the DNS Server roles on bot XX machine and the YY machine. It was actually nice to get the proper YY machine to do this lab. This is pretty much what I had to do in Lesson 3 with DHCP. By going into the server manager, then double click roles, then server roles, and check DNS Server.
As the software architect of this project, you met with many users and stakeholders of the old system to determine the requirements of the new Internet-accessible SRS software system. Your meetings and requirement-gathering efforts resulted in an SRS Requirement Definition document that summarizes all of the requirements of the project. One of your development team members was excited about this project and wanted to start working on it immediately. She therefore took the initiative and created a high-level business process activity diagram for the SRS system. You reviewed the activity diagram and found it to be a good foundation from which to create the SRS use case diagram and the SRS use case descriptions.
You may name the folder something like “Virtual Machines for My Courses”, and create subfolders in it by the course number. b. Browse to the “C:\Virtual Machines” folder on the lab computer, identify the folder for the virtual machine named ITT-Lab. Copy the entire folder of ITT-Lab to the folder you created for storing the virtual machine for this course (IT104). c. After the copying is complete, validate the two folders are identical using the Properties menu of the folder (by right-clciking on the folder and selecting Properties). The Properties will show the number of folders and files, etc.
3. Create a document that is formatted and ready (or close to be) for publication. 4. Research and write a paper that provides the salient points of the subject, reflects your critical thinking, and synthesizes relevant information on computer technology. Process and Content: Students MUST write about an existing topic in Management of computer technology or Information
Data independence & Structural independence. b. Data redundancy 3. From your reading, discuss different types of databases? Discuss briefly the type of database that is being used at your work and also the type of operating system used.
The big-ticket items include student laptops, purchasing an LMS or partnering with a solution provider, and professional development. In its first year, the Palisades Cyber Academy is servicing about 25 cyber students who would have otherwise chosen another cyber learning option, and close to 100 other traditional students who are taking an online course or participating in a class using an LMS. I would estimate our start-up costs at $35,000. If we make a commitment from the onset that we wanted our teachers to be the instructors. We are aiming for the holistic improvement in what community based education looks like.
