Scout Is a Hero

Throughout this semester, as a class we have read many different passages, overall “To Kill A Mockingbird”, by Helen Lee stood out the most. As a six year old girl Scout comes and steals the role of a hero your always left wondering what is next. Scout is a hero in many ways, she grows up at such a young age, helps those in need of it, and she lives life the way she wants to not what others want for her. Scout grows up without a mother, some may say thats terrible while others believe it can make a girl stronger. When Scout turns six years old she already has everything figured out. Scout shows she is a hero by being able to lead her own life not by following others. Although in order to find Scout a hero you have to look deeper than the words on a page, she is stronger than most people in all sorts of ways. Also, Scout may be a girl of young age but she is always there to help the people in need of it. Whether it is sneaking around with her older brother Jem or helping out with the gardening across the street you can always count on Scout. When your always there for someone you may think it is no big deal, but to them it could mean the world. Being so confused and scared, I remember that. Not knowing what you want to do all your life, it's not a bad thing. Scout has it all figured out though. She does things to please herself and doesn't care what others think. Her head is full of pride and nothing ever changes that. This makes you a hero because if you can lead yourself then you can lead others. Being a hero you have to be able to lead. Overall Scout is a great hero and no matter what anyone says or thinks, she always will be. Six years of confidence will just continue to fulfill her hopes and dreams.
