Planner Planner Teachers play many important roles in the lives of students, they are not only responsible for giving a lesson in class, they have numerous other responsibilities which sometimes require them to be more than a Teacher. In my personal opinion I think a few of the important roles of a Teacher are the following, A Resource, An Ego Supporter, A friend and Confidant, A Parent Surrogate, A Planner and A Developer. The main responsibility of the Teacher as a Resource is to be a source of information to students, it is the Teachers responsibility to be able to provide students with all the information required in a lesson and to be able to answer questions without hesitation, this means teachers need to know all their information in order for them to be a resource to students, such teachers also offer guidance to students and give them advice on where to pick up information from. The teacher as a resource also gives feedback to students as information on their performance, this helps students to improve. The teacher as an ego supporter, lots of students lack confidence, the teacher can help such students to gain confidence in themselves, for example, a lot of students are bullied in school and this causes a huge drop in their confidence, it becomes the responsibility of the
