This exercise sets out everything I find important to myself and put a value upon it. This gives priority a new meaning because placing value on family and salary and certain things you want and need out of a job make a difference on what kind of job that maybe in mind. This creates an action plan in which requires a person to set limits to what needs to be given up for what job you want or want to work up too. Setting career priorities define my goals and help me look for a job because it makes me want to accomplish every goal I set for myself, so I can be happy and have everything I need to live and survive with. It is important when evaluating career variables because it helps me define my potential and where I want to spend my time working.
Making a right choice for the future education is very important. However, what makes it even harder is deciding whether to attend a community college or a university. Although they both have their advantages and disadvantages, but they both offer the same varieties of knowledge. To consider the best opportunity, we should look at the budget, how much time we want to spend, what level of education we want to obtain. Also, remembering that an education is important, and a college sometimes is a deciding factor for an employer when they are looking to hire someone in.
My plans are to not only use education as a tool to prepare myself for a profession, but also to help me become a self sufficient individual who is fully prepared for life. My statement for values and ethics is as follows: Personal responsibility, dedication, hard work, bettering myself, choosing what makes me happy, and family are the fundamental values that have brought me success and fulfillment in my life. Ethically speaking, I believe one should be free to do what he or she wishes so long as it does not interfere with others’also pursuing their happiness. As discussed below, certain aspects of utilitarianism, as well as Kant’s deontological ethics apply to my ethics outlook.
