I would practice every day and for a long time. I got very good and joined a soccer team in the park. I played forward for the team. We played many games with other team from around the city and I would score a lot of points. When I was a 4th grader, I played very good and knew a lot of tricks and moves.
Youth sport is becoming more than a day at the field or the gymnasium. It is a way of life. To many it may be the important fabric of a children’s upbringing and socialization into adulthood. Many parents, coaches and athletes feel that the pursuit of excellence in sports is valuable and teaches many life lessons. Youth sports are also viewed as a means to develop one’s athletic talents.
The population of the school, I feel it would be a perfect atmosphere to help me reach my potential goals. I know going to Brevard will help me become successful by helping me seek my full potential. Becoming a student-athlete is a major achievement anywhere and in any division. It’s a sign of accomplishment and dedication to a sport and to your education. Volleyball has taught me multiple things; leadership, dedication, and a positive mental attitude.

Talent is a great aspect to becoming a great team player. You need talent to succeed and make a good, well-known team. You need talent to be able to dribble, keep possession of the ball, and be able to know the right time to pass and shoot and also, play at a skillful and nippy level. An example of a time where talent was needed is when my brother was about nine years old and he played soccer. His team was going to play against one of the best teams in the league.
In addition, I want to be able to use my experience and skills for effort into leading the band through competition season and achieving the goals that our band has set for each year. This position is definitely going to be a learning experience, just by trying-out, but receiving it will be a learning experience as a leader. I think the position will teach me how to gain confidence and learn to speak publicly about my thoughts in a positive way. Personality wise, I think it will teach me to be a better-rounded and speak to everybody in the band and get to know people better. I also think this position will teach me how to balance fun and work time to benefit the band.
