By teachers giving points then students also get an opportunity to help them raise their grade. For those people on the edge of a higher grade it gives them a way to boost it and do something helpful for the community. I believe it’s a good thing that teachers give bonus points. I’ve been on originations that have done a charity drive where there’s not much participation. It’s disappointing when that happens, also you feel bad for the charity you’re trying to give to.
There are positive and negative effects of young athletes based on their parents involvement. Motivating a young athlete helps them perform better in school and on the field. Children need to know that their parents are there for them. Teachers, counsellors, and coaches are there to motivate kids but their parents should be their big motivator because kids like looking up to someone as a role model and it should be the person who is in charge of the household. Showing commitment to a child by coming to every game they have helps them to feel happy and want to be committed following their dreams of being a part of a sport they would like doing.

The Second Pillar The way I define service is the coordinated effort to benefit a community or the lives of the people in it through hard work and dedication. It is the giving of time and work in turn for the opportunities given to you. This can be accomplished through a variety of activities such as sports and scholastic competitions. Helping out is one part of service but I believe another part is improving your school's reputation with athletic and academic achievement. In particular, soccer has been a large part of my high school career and it has allowed me to participate in group community service work as well as a chance to win titles for our school.

One could be lucky in being good at a sport, and achieve higher levels of recognition through that sport. Another example is someone who worked hard at school, and was offered a great job based on their credentials. This is a prime example in justifying the quote, “luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity.” Those who have prepared in school and skills will be lucky when the opportunity presents itself to utilize such credentials. People, who work hard at marriages, can be lucky in love. I believe good things come with hard work.
