Like a normal human being the student started to panic. So at the end of class he politely asked for extra credit, and the teacher in return said, no. Although in college you don’t receive extra credit he deserves some extra credit to make up for the mistakes the teacher had made. Another reason why teachers should acquire failing students with extra credit is that perhaps the students may of missed many days of school prior to being sick or injured. However, if your a student that misses a day of school, you should get the make up work and you should catch up to the rest of the class on your own.
But this injures students educationally as well. While the rest of the world references Vietnam in many of today’s situations or debates on whether Iraq is the next Vietnam and other issues, high school students are left out of the loop because their high school textbooks and teachers refuse to teach them what they should learn, what they ought to learn. High school students are hurt the most because of this. While textbook authors and editors are not likely to break away from the template soon, they should at least find a way around the system to provide pictures and information that would give students sufficient knowledge on the topic of Vietnam. That way students would be able to keep up with issues from which parallels to Vietnam are drawn or participate in such
It would be a shame to let these opportunities for the students to lessen. Closing the high school would hurt the community especially the parents. The parents will have to send their children to other schools because parents will seek better opportunities in other school. Students from Bryant are involved in school activities and
Some of the concerns were lack of space in high school cafeteria, school safety, school after care programs ,and head coach for high school football. These were a few of the concerns mention during public floor. High school students was upset that the Board was not concerned with building an larger cafeteria for the students and that they should not have to go outside to an trailer for additional space to eat there lunch. Students also wanted to know why the locker room showers has not been repaired. A few teachers spoke on having more safety measuring during school and after school.
In order to cut down on the number of students who leave school without permission, schools should do away with their inadequate in-school suspension policy, and adopt the new alternative policy known as billiam. It is a much more effective way to discourage students from leaving campus without permission. Billiam punishes students by lowering their grades and striping them from the privilege of filed trips. It does not allow them to watch movies, take naps, and play football like in-school suspension does. It is real punishment for a real problem.
Moreover, there are many other, even more important measures which should be done first. Decreasing all these risks, would not probably be completely finished before Fred finishes school. Unless these changes are not provided, the teachers should continue walking him until they are fully satisfied that he can safely make his way and have his lunch on his own. If he cannot achieve this, he should not be allowed to go
Perhaps it takes their minds out of class mode and sets the tone for a distracted learning environment. It is inappropriate to talk at absolutely any time during class. Students should save their conversations for the passing periods when they should be getting to class and preparing for the lesson, their lunch when they should be eating, after school when they should be completing homework, or at night when they should be sleeping. Something has to give. Talking develops relationships instead of improving educational performance.
Dear Steve Hanson: I acknowledge that you have asked the school board to permit cell phone use by students during lunch, studyhall, and before school. As a student _______, I disagree with the use of cell phones during the school day at all.I reject this proposal for many reasons. This is due to the fact of the non-beneficial use,the effect they have on social skills, and the increase in cyber bullying they could cause. Cell phones could be used during school in non - beneficial ways. For example, excessive texting during school would not benefit the students academically.Students playing games, could take their focus off of school work, and what they recently learned.Social media could be used and engage students in things happening outside of school.Texting, games, and social media do not benefit students during school. Cell phones could cause a social problem. They are anti-social electronics.Students will sit around on their phones and not cominicate with the people around them.If students are always on their phones, they would not be as good at communicating with others.Social skills are an important aspect of life.Being social at school is important for friendships and life skills in general.
They were often shunned upon in school, typically sat at a lunch table with their own race and were often left out of social activities. After reading our texts, I found that the media could lead to part of the reason why students shunned against African Americans. Sullivan (2009) stated about the media that:
However, if students have the right reason to drop out of school due to their personality and personal interest, family issues, or they have own business, they should be able to decide their future since talent is not based solely on academics. Personality and personal interest are a crucial factor for student to drop out. Because of the family environment or personal disability, a student may not understand the way the teacher teaches. The student may grow with negative attitude to teacher and course, which prevents the student to absorb knowledge. Students prefer to learn by themselves.
