As the rest of the students said their ABC’s I found that I struggled when it came to putting them in the correct order. My preschool teacher was very upset with me when she asked me to say them again and yet I could not put them in the right order. With her frustration she had me take my seat, I felt so embarrassed. It was in my elementary years that my teachers came to the conclusion that I was dyslexic. It made complete sense now; why I had trouble reciting my alphabet, not being able to read at the grade level I was in, or even being able
That was also very interesting. He told me that he regretted and I tried to give him positive advice. He also told me what it was like to be diabetic. That was my favorite part of my entire day. 12/4/13 Today Mrs. Weaver gave me a list with over 100 student’s names on it.
I no longer had my mom enrolling me in school, it was all up to me. Picking classes and choosing what time I wanted to be in school was something I was definitely not used to, yet something I could get used to and like a whole lot better. The one factor of college that did kill me though was the fact that me, myself, and I were responsible for paying for everything. I never understood why everyone complained about textbooks until I took a look at the prices tags and saw ALL the books my professors required. Not only did my heart hurt, but so did my
69 in queens Jackson Heights. When I first started school in Kindergarten I was always confused with what everyone was saying because I never understood a word that they said. The kids were speaking English and also my first teacher was named Mrs. Ali. She was a tall woman and had curly hair. This tall woman
Literacy Autobiography Playing sports, socializing with friends, and working – All reasons why I am an alliterate reader and writer. I never realized the importance of paying attention in school to learn to read and write properly when I was younger. Although I graduated from high school and have a diploma, the lack of initiative and motivation in school has led me to be an alliterate reader and writer today. While in high school, playing sports was more important then learning how to read and write properly. Socializing with friends and going out to have fun was another reason why I did not learn how to write proficiently.
I read 50 pages on just the first day and since then I have read just as many pages each day. Whenever I read the book around other people, they either ask me is it a good book or I try to tell them it’s a good book, then I recommend them to read it. In the past, whenever I finished reading a book, I could never remember anything I just read, but with this book, I knew exactly what was going on both during the book and after I finished the book. It was so much fun reading this book. I have somewhat gone through the same thing that Anne
On June 16th, my hands were shaking, my palms were sweaty and I was frantically reviewing notes. Why? It was the day of my physics finals, everything we learned since the beginning of the year comes down to this. We were al dreading that day and by that point, all I wanted is to be done with it. After 3 long periods, I made it out alive.
My First Day at Houston Community College The very first day I attended Houston Community College, I was very nervous and fearful. I was fearful because I have been out of the education system for thirty-seven years. I did not feel comfortable in the environment around me. My first class that semester was math 0306. Professor Glasca walked in, handed out the syllabus, called the roll, and began his lecture.” Learning the Steps of Mathematics “was the topic for the day.
History was quite a challenge like I had expected. Being in a college level class taught me how to manage my time wisely. At first it was hard because I was so used to having a limited quantity of homework, that when my AP teacher gave us our six page assignment I was flabbergasted. Though the paper was due within three days I still felt like I was struggling. After completing the assignment I knew I conquered the Challenging assignment. Besides taking an AP Course in school I took a Political Science course at Hunter College.
In the beginning of the semester I read the work book to him, but now he simply follows my finger and reads the words I point to. Also, in the beginning of the semester Anders took longer to work and got frustrated very easily, but now he pulls through and finishes his work much faster. While we worked I promised him songs and stories that reminded him that if he works he can have fun after. After reading a specific chapter in the book I found that I should listen to his scripting and not ignore it, because it's his way of trying to tell someone what he needs. I also learned from you, Mrs. Beitner, that when Anders says or does something wrong I should correct him by saying things like: "is that ok?"
