I cannot say that I have questions already crafted or constructed. Every call or incident is different, I guess over the years I have learned from experience on how an interview will go and or take place. While thinking of it, while in the academy, I do not recall much time place upon an interview and or constructing questions for the interview. I don’t know if I would consider these rules a direct benefit, but rather a good guideline to follow. As an officer you must try and be creative within your own means and capabilities. Interviewing suspects and victims takes time and comes with a lot of experience. Much of that experience is gather by observing veteran officer and taking what is learned from them along with your personal experience
