2010 Murdock Defensive Notes Murdock is a team which runs many formations and not many plays. Their primary formation is double tight double wing. They line up foot to foot and play power football. They will also run Double tight T formation and a Power I. They will change up at some points to Trips and their last formation is a Twins look. They love to run from C to D Gap. They will run inside but their primary runs are to the outside. They will run to the right side of the defense for a majority the time. We must be mentally strong. Formations: 1. Double Tight Double Wing &T &Power I- This formation is one in which there are 3 backs in the backfield with a TE to each side. Against this we will run Base Dog Pinch Cover 0 (Red). Red/Blue- This is just like our Red/Blue. Against this we will run Base Dog Pinch; Base Dog Pinch Out or Base Cover 4 (Green). PlaysGuard Trap; Jet; Waggle. 3. Trips- This is a formation in which there are 3 receivers to one side. It could be a combination of a TE and twins. Against this we will run Base Cover 3 (Blue). PlaysToss Sweep; Jet Sweep; QB Sweep. Base Dog Pinch Out- This is a variation on how we run our Dog Pinch. R DE Lines up in a 6 Tech, and goes into D Gap. R DTLines up in a 4 Tech, Shoots into C Gap Sam Lines up in a 20 tech; Blitzes under control into B Gap.
