I chose this article about Mitt Romney’s stance on abortion. He would like to overturn Roe V Wade which gives women the choice to have an abortion. Abortion is never an easy decision, but women have been making that choice for years, for many different reasons. Whenever a society has sought to outlaw abortions, it has only driven them into back alleys, where they became dangerous, expensive, and humiliating. In 1973 Roe V Wade made abortion legal. There are two sides to this controversial issue. The pro-life movement believes abortion is murder and would like to make it illegal. It also discusses the days before Roe v Wade which caused women to seek illegal abortions that took many lives as a result. This article tries to convince readers of how easy it would be overturn Roe V Wade with no actual concrete evidence to support that. There are many pro-life supporters but the article doesn’t take into account all the women who would like to know they have a choice if forced to make a decision in a bad situation. When extreme complications arise in pregnancy, an abortion may be necessary for the sake of the mother’s health. The article talks about exceptions to abortions such as rape, health, and incest. Many pro-life supporters don’t believe in any exceptions but health which raises many other issues. I believe that abortion should not be made illegal because women are going to continue to make their own choice. It should also be legal because of rape, incest, health of the mother, and health of the child. After Mitt Romney changed his stance on abortion he received support from many important people such as Susan B Anthony and many others. I don’t agree with to persuasive point of view in this article which seems to be only about Mitt Romney gaining more peoples
