As we all know, our school has recently received a large sum of money to improve its education and environment. Student counselors, today I have 4 suggestions on how this money should be spent. These improvements will help the students academically and personally. Firstly, I suggest that all classrooms should be equipped with individual control panel so temperature can be adjusted according to the preference of each class and the air-con can be turned off when the classroom is not in use. This will solve the existing problem of energy being wasted. Also, the students can adjust the temperature to one that is most comfortable unlike having a fixed temperature that can be too warm or cold currently, so the learning environment is optimal. Secondly, more food serving counters should be added to reduce the waiting time of students to get their lunch. Many students nowadays are late for their activities and classes after lunch because the queues are too long. Some even sacrifice their proper lunch and snack on junk food instead. Returning back to classes late is disruptive and affects the learning process of every student. Moreover, improper meals are detrimental to the health of the students. Thirdly, a portion of the money should be set aside to create a fund for needy and deserving students. Due to the rising cost of school fees and living expenses, some students are struggling financially to stay in the school. I believe that no student should be denied an education just because they cannot afford it. This fund will ensure those student have the means to continue with their studies. Other than helping needy students, the fund can also give out money as a award to students who do exceptionally well in their studies, encouraging them to continue to work hard towards a brighter future. Lastly, there has been an increased interest in overseas service trips
