This is the Training and Development of Novartis, a Switzerland Pharmaceutical company. The Human Resource Department in Novartis is committed to creating Culture and Socialization so that employees feel welcome and are prepared to work for the Novartis Family. New or existing employees will have the proper support and guidance from the organisation through mentorship, allowing them to have a stay on track of their key activities and tasks. Employees are also encouraged to attend trainings, be it in-house or external to aspire them to keep learning and improve on what they are doing. The trainings will depend on the job scope. Formal trainings are effective in providing new information for staff to practice on new skills. Other than attending training, senior employees or supervisors will mentor each subordinate on their daily work. This is part of Novartis career development plan by providing management programme and mentorship. Career development is an on-going dynamic process where employees may need support and encouragement from their supervisors and seniors in re-assessing and reviewing their goals. At the end of the training attended, employees are required to give feedbacks. Novartis will then evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of their trainings and developments for new and existing employees.
