Julia and Dale have a budding romantic relationship, which tells me that she is a good person and in the story it describes their strong relationship which is usually between two people with high standards, not low like the Rennie’s. Both Dale and Julia are gutsy and tough, brave enough to try any chance they might have for survival. Julia comes from a family of news executives; the newspaper is a family concern. She was groomed early for success and was viewed by her peers as a "goody-two-shoes." A confrontation with her classmates in fourth grade caused her to rethink her status and changed the course of her academic career; however, this same confrontation is a key in helping her formulate a plan to end the siege.
I could not help but wonder if I had helped these girls truly be the best players they could be or if their hopes would be crushed by embarrassment on the field and a large margin of defeat. Before the game, I took them to the end zone for a quick pep talk to remind them of the time and hard work they had given to this team. We broke out of the huddle and the game began. We scored on our first possession and never looked back from that point. The girls were executing every play to perfection.
No matter what color, race, sex, what set they’re from, how they were raised, anything. He loves everyone. To prove this, “if you were my son, I’d be the proudest man alive” shows that he shows Looney a tremendous amount of love. Looney has just pulled G aside to show him his report card of “straight A’s” which turned out to be a little off but Father Greg decides to support Looney and show compassion because he is proud of him regardless. Looney actually only got one A grade but didn’t receive any bad marks and G is very proud of him for this.
Mister Tarnish influenced me greatly. He was more than a teacher; he was a friend to everybody. He was able to cheer up a crowd in minutes. He taught in clever ways and made me feel successful and proud. His deep caring for his eighth graders was undeniable and evident.
This document embodied everything America had built up until that point. (Infrastructure, government systems, etc.) The citizens had worked hard to prove to its mother country that they could be independent. No longer would the Americans be oppressed, but rather proud of what they had accomplished. As Jefferson wrote each eloquent word, its apparent that he was proud of what his fellow Americans had accomplished.
The whole speech was basically about her life so she is the best credible source for that speech. She connected with the audience almost immediately by confirming that she was once in college and knows how it feels and what we are going through. She had no visual aids to support her materials it was just her. She talked about the stress she went through in college due to work, activities and so on. I believe many students in the audience could relate to that and by creating that link she won the audience trust and heart.
She reported her suspicion of abuse to the principal, and the investigation started. David was finally set free at 12 years old. I’m sure he couldn’t even express the gratitude he had for the administrators and police officers that saved him from his evil mother, who he called “the Bitch”. This book is very beneficial to the general public because it shows what happens behind closed doors in child abuse cases. It warms the heart of the reader and motivates them to do something to help the children that are being abused.
With the right people around him and the positive mind set Sampson became successful. Most people who have worked from the bottom up may not find it necessary to help others because they have the ability to do the same. In this case Sampson Davis found it most important to help young people who wish to become something in life. He, George, and Rameck created an organization where they would mentor young people with a goal. Being that he didn’t have to help anyone this was a generous deed.
It was her mistake, so she is going to take on her responsibility, and be a great parent for her unborn child. She said, “If it was my choice i would have got pregnant after college” (Duval). Luckily, her boyfriend, her family and friends were unexpectedly supportive of this major change in Harley’s life. Everyone preached to Harley about how tough it would be with having a baby, she didn’t think anything of it. The only worry in their minds was Harley and her junior year of high school; hoping and expecting she would finish
It is the most I have ever been respected by any teacher. I could tell she really cared for me because one time when she caught me cheating she gave me a second chance. Instead of taking me to the office or failing me, she let me off with a warning not to do it again. I felt like I got away with murder. That was the last time I would ever cheat in her class.
