Shepard, James September 18, 2014 Future Teacher Essay Knowledge is power. By that being said, education is essential to everyone. So, why do I want to educate? Becoming a teacher has been my goal for many reasons since I was in elementary school. I want to educate the kids into higher learner, teach the kids more than what they need to learn, and most importantly, lead the new generation into a brighter future. Leading the world’s new generation into a much brighter and successful future is my #1 goal. All of us want to see our children and grandchildren succeed. In order for our children to succeed, they must be empowered with knowledge and education. I want to be apart of this achievement; apart of our children and their children’s success. Critical thinking is another element that is not being properly used throughout our generation. Teaching the kids more than what they need to learn will help the kids succeed. They will know more about the way of life and how to live it “the right way”. With this essential element, they will achieve many goals and become the person they dream of being. Many teachers have different but slight similar aspects on why they decided to teach. Since a child, I enjoyed seeing children learn. Presently, I enjoy tutoring and helping kids learn their difficulties to pass. I want to be the one to educate the children of our future.
