Fast Food Restaurants Effect on Obesity Obesity is a health problem for overweight people in this country, as American's all we can do is deny the truth, or block out the thoughts in our heads .What we need to realize though is that being overweight and dealing with obesity is not the path we want to lay out for ourselves. It’s the way we eat unhealthy that makes us regret the way we look or that leads to other severe health problems. "One-third of children and two-thirds of adults are overweight or obese, posing a daunting public-health challenge. Those adults are more likely to develop serious illnesses like heart disease, diabetes and hypertension."(Preventing obesity, Mantel, pg1). Too get a better understanding of what obesity is, you have to know what it is and the effects that it might have on yourself and your health. Obesity is a medical condition that is a leading preventable cause of death worldwide, with increasing excess of fat in adults and children, even higher officials view it as one of the most serious public health problems of the 21st century. Now that we have a sense of what it is, we have to go all the way back to how obesity begins. There are two reasons for this, first reason is the most obvious one, is to learn how to stop it. The second reason is because we want to cure it and prevent it from happening again. In order for us to lead a healthy lifestyle for us and the kids that are the future generations of this country. I will relate and talk about the effects that fast food chain restaurants have on families, especially when they don't have time to cook healthy meals. As well as illustrate different statistics that can help you understand a small aspect of how obesity occurs and what we can do to stop it. Three major outputs that I want to talk about thoroughly are; obesity and how fast food restaurants have an effect on adults and kids,
