In this essay I am going to explain why changes in the education system have and have not helped pupils. There are many reasons for and against this claim and I will outline them throughout this essay. A reason that changes in the education system have helped pupils is the national curriculum which was introduced in 1988 (1988 education act). The national curriculum standardised learning as everyone is taught the same thing as well as helping gender equality as males and females have access to all the same subjects. It also can make it easier than in the past for a student who switches schools, because now schools broadly have to follow a similar curriculum.
In Amanda Fazzone’s article “Boob Tube,” she explains how TV. show heroines are empowered only because they “bask in the sex object role,” even though NOW (National Organization for Women) states that these “intelligent” and “well-rounded” women are able to “break out of the sex object role and portray authentic people.” Fazzone questions NOW’s credibility for their criterion of their idea of authentic and intelligent women. “If heroines like Felicity are empowered, it’s only because they’ve decided that what really drives female power is sex,” Fazzone states at the beginning of the article. Fazzone takes a stand against NOW asking how they choose their endorsements. NOW explains that their endorsements are intelligent, well-rounded authentic women, but Fazzone wants to know if they are really women who bask in the sex object role, and what are the shows NOW endorses are really about?

It’s more about how Naz gets her mother’s attention. Parenting classes is a good way for naz’s mother to be prepared and approachable to situations. This way she’ll have advice and know what to do if they argue. Parenting classes are not about telling her how to do her job, but more about improving on her parenting skills so that she can help and support Naz in the future.

During her trial, Anthony published a speech “On Women’s right to vote”. In her speech, the main reason Anthony was successful in persuading her audience was that she clearly established an exigent circumstance early and effectively adapted her writing to the kairos of the moment.

While in her mother’s eyes, she only supported her daughter and craved the absolute best for her child.
There was a Pakistani girl named Malala Yousafzai who got hurt for saying that women deserve an education in her country. She didn’t care if that’s what her society thought to be acceptable, she knew it wasn’t right and so she rebelled against the whole idea of it. She survived her injuries, and now she protests for women to have a better education. There are a lot of women all over the world just like her that rebel against society’s view of women. In the story, the Awakening, Edna also rebelled against society by freely expressing herself.
During this process her daughter’s destiny goes astray from what she had envisioned for her and blamed herself for the outcome. Although, to some it may seem that she took the easy way out, this mother battles herself all the while asking herself what she could have done differently. Her daughter Emily was brought into the world during “The Great Depression”. Not too soon afterward, her father walked out on Emily and her mother and had left them to fend for themselves. The mother found a job that would help provide for them.
