Pass the DREAM Act Bill Imagine that you are ten years old and your parents decide that you are moving. Not only are you moving to a new city or town, your family is moving to a new county where you have very few rights, due to your lack of citizenship. As a small child, what choice do you have? You follow your parents to a place where they tell you that your future will be better. You persue this dream of becoming educated, and after all your hard work in school you can’t have a job because of your residency status. A few senators introduced the DREAM (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors) act to change immigrant’s residency status in order to be able to work in the United States after graduating college or serving in the military. The bill would give relief for education to ten and thousands of undocumented students to gain legal status, making it easier to gain permanent residency status. The students would have to meet requirements in order to qualify for the bill. They must had come to the U.S under 15 years old, have a good moral character, and complete two years of college or military service in good standing. We citizens of this diverse nation need help to pass the DREAM act bill for undocumented students to follow their American Dream; young immigrant students were brought to this country as children and should…show more content…
If not, they are just going to help increase poverty in America and rely on the government. America has become stagnate in technology, science, medicine, etc. By educating immigrants help America would grow economically and socially. The only thing undocumented students want is a chance to make their dream come true if this country can give them an opportunity by passing the DREAM act. Well educated students can be the solution to our economic crisis and help have strong Armed Forces, so lets give them a chance. They are the key to change this country to make it a better
