Sometime, they even begin the final project without the instructor’s authorization and proper guidance forgetting that without the instructions they might give the wrong information. An online student also expects services at all time of the night or day. They need to understand that waiting is part if teaching and learning for the internet speed is not the same as the course speed. Internet teaching is all about following instructions and doing your work on time. Traditional students must write a thesis and take notes before writing a research
Compare/Contrast Essay: Online Education and On – Ground Education Abstract Many people have asked the question about going to school online or going to a traditional college. They are not that different as far as what you would learn. You would learn the same material, it is just that online, you would be at home, and traditional you would sit in a classroom. It is flexible to go to school online, compared to sitting in a classroom at a specific time of day, every day. You would also learn to communicate very well with your fellow students and professors.
A large concern to some students may have when considering attending college online is the fact that it may be harder to get personal help and learn the material through your professor. Without having any physical interaction with your professor, some hands on learners may struggle more than the students who learn well from reading the material on their own. The professor in online schools can still be very helpful; the students just have to take the initiative to ask for help when they need it. When attending a college on campus, some universities require their students to attend all classes, while others leave it as an option. It is
Classroom learning is better than online learning because you’re actually in a classroom with your teacher in front of you and you’re actually doing hands on work. When thinking about whether or not you want to attend an online college or actually attend a college close to home you want to think about the preparation time, place, lectures, study aids, group projects, class work, assignments, feedback, reading materials, learning, and additional aspects. When considering attending a classroom setting college the preparation time is very fast after you purchase your textbooks you are ready to attend class and participate as indicated by the syllabus. When taking classes you are scheduled for a set time and place for each class. When attending lectures they are usually presented to a group at the same time and it allows for immediate questions and changes.
Relying solely on online classes for education would add more work, as opposed attending class on-campus, make students and teachers feel isolated and there would be no need of any extended amount of motivation. Firstly, online courses are not for everyone. Some students who are in certain programs would need to be in a physical classroom to learn. Some of these programs would include: any tech class (construction and manufacturing), cooking and nursing. Students in these programs would require hands-on work to gain the appropriate knowledge in that program.
Even though the two different ways of obtaining an education are very similar, the teaching technique is slightly different. To me online education has been one of the relaxed ways to get through many of my college classes. I can absorb what I want to learn whenever or wherever I would like. I began taking online classes because it was tough for me to meet the expense of daycare for my children, transportation to and from my school was hectic; and taking off from work or cutting my days and hours back was just not in my budget, just to attend a classroom lesson. I had many personal commitments to deal with on a regular basis that did not allow me to sit in a classroom for several hours.

The only difference with this is that in a traditional classroom it may be a little easier because you have that personal interaction with your instructor and your peers. In an online classroom it may be a little different because you can’t interact with your peers and instructors like you can if you were in a campus-based classroom, you have to e-mail them and wait for a response, and you won’t get it right then and there. Most days she would come home on time, but it always seemed that, on days, she knew I had to get to class; she would either miss her train or take a later train home. There was an annoying amount of times I was late for my classes. With today’s education technology, I can now attend classes, interact remotely with my professors, download assignments and have access to my textbooks on my laptop or my tablet. Regardless of where I am, waiting for a doctor’s appointment, waiting for my charges to complete a course, waiting for my dinner to finish, or sitting in my bed as I am now, I can be studying, working on assignments or reading my assigned chapters. Having the ability to continue my education online while I work 11-hour days has made my future that much brighter.
