The "Big 5" individual personality variables are broad categories of personality traits with 5 dimensions of personality which are used to describe human personality. These dimensions are openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism. For the sake of this assignment I have chosen; extraversion, conscientiousness, and agreeableness. Someone who is an extravert has the tendency to be very assertive, full of energy. They enjoy being with people, are very talkative and often experience positive emotions.
The Myers – Briggs description includes that “ENTPs are frequently described as clever, cerebrally and verbally quick, enthusiastic, outgoing, innovative, flexible, loyal and resourceful (Wikipedia)”. I found this accurate because I see myself as a clever person, for example if someone makes a remark to me, I am able to quickly and easily verbally defend myself. I am also able to verbally improvise when it comes to speeches or any public speaking and can come up with something off the top of my head. The ENTP personality is also explained as an enthusiastic personality, I find this to be accurate especially when it involves something that I enjoy. If I have created something or been a part of something I am very enthusiastic about it, I like to tell friends and family and show what I have accomplished.
1. Determine which facets of the Geico total rewards program align with the five top advantages of a total rewards program outlined in Chapter 2 of the textbook and discuss your reasoning. There are five advantages of a total rewards approach. The first one is increased flexibility. Increased flexibility within a total rewards package allows the awards to be mixt and remixed to meet the different emotional and motivational needs of employees.
Personality refers to individual differences in characteristic patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving (Kazdin 2000). The big five personality is a hierarchical model of classification of traits used to predict human personalities. In this model, human personality is determined by five broad clusters of traits, namely: Extroversion, agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism and Openness to experience. Extroversion is associated with positive energy. Extroverts exhibit pronounced sociability and enthusiasm for engagement with external environment.
4) Conscientiousness: The conscientiousness identity measurement incorporates traits identified with accomplishment. Regular highlights of this measurement incorporate elevated amounts of insights, with great motivation control and objective coordinated practices. Those high in conscientiousness have a tendency to be sorted out and aware of points of interest. Individuals that have a high level of conscientiousness are solid and brief. Traits
Assignment 6.1 Task 1: From doing these activities I have discovered that I am a visual learner. A visual learner is someone that uses colour to interpret different phrases and also uses pictures. A few characteristics of a visual learner are that they like to read and write rather than listen, remember what they see rather than what they hear and also remember pictures and diagrams. Overall, I agree with all of these characteristics as these are what I do and when I think about it I can relate to them. However, I disagree with a characteristic which says that they like more art than music which is not me at all I hate art.
Though, I have good control on my emotional displays, at times I find certain emotions sticking for a little time in my conscious memory. I am an eternal optimist, thus tend to view things in different lights. I react less on events that others find serious, thus to some, I may give a non-serious perception, one lacking concern, and one lacking the intellect capacity to judge situations. At the same time, people reporting to me find my behavior to their advantage. They feel empowered as they find me reacting less to many negative feedback about them, or meddling less with their day-to-day plans, and actions.
Also, the video seemed easier to interpret and follow along with, as the written version required rereading for greater comprehension. The video was entertainment still, which this viewer believes is at least in part a test of good writing. One could not watch it, without feeling the anguish Woolf felt at being suppressed where she so much wanted to grow. That sympathy is what effects people to support her
They share the similar elements: they all have a clear and effective structure; they all have an extremely good leader; they all embrace the accountability to have things done and mutual respect; they all have an efficient communication system and they all have learned from the past and enjoy the new things. These implements are all important to a successful team. However, the most essential contribution to the team is the excellent leader. That is because the other implements are not born within the team, it is the excellent leader
Although I recorded audio of myself and was not able to use video, I know myself well enough to know how the speech would have looked in person. I felt as if my voice was a little tense, but my instructor said that my voice was clear and the delivery was well paced. Neither my instructor nor myself felt as if there were other signs of anxiety in the presentation. I did feel like the pacing of my presentation was great, but this was also one of the things I was working on that required a second and third try. In this class I would like to work on my delivery, but mostly, I would like to stop being so monotonous and be able to use gestures and movements more effectively.
