Offering work programs that help prepare young people for management or skilled positions is a good way to take crime off of the streets while showing to the community that the business cares about the welfare of the population. This can help bring in a group of potential profit earners for the company while at the same time reducing crime in the stores and the surrounding neighborhood. The improved reputation could only serve to bring in shoppers who are more prone to visit the larger and cheaper chains such as Walmart. While this will incur immediate liability costs as the plan is enacted, the end result benefiting the shareholders is a cheaply trained future leadership staff, an improved reputation for the company as a whole, and a long term boost in

position. I believe that, although there are many negative consequences that come along with the introduction of a new Walmart, that they are beneficial to the quality of life for a community. Te he introduction of a new store brings new jobs to the community, ones that might not have ever been created, had it not been for this store being built. It provides one stop shopping for people of that area and also provides goods at a price much cheaper than a “mom and pop” store could have. This fact alone is going to boost revenue for the town.
Mayor Schell’s Zero Homeless Family Strategy Lasheona Starr Dingle November 24, 2012 Professor Timothy Smith Modern Public Administration: PAD 500 On November 4, 1997 Paul Schell was elected Mayor of Seattle, Washington. Mayor Schell began his term on January 1, 1998. Mayor Schell spoke to the press on June 2, 1998 about the needs of the homeless families, families with children and single women. Mayor Schell asked for City Council’s support in providing immediate emergency assistance to homeless families and single women; firmly pledging that by Christmas of 1998, there would be no homeless families or homeless single women on the streets of Seattle (The Electronic Hallway). Four of the policy choices that Mayor Schell made as part of the strategy for the homeless were: • Maintaining the shelter capacity not increasing it.
The government also outlawed the employment of children under 12. From 1900- 1907 the government also spent more money on public works. This proved to be a success because they improved; the roads, farming (following the poor harvest in 1897) and finally reducing food taxation across Italy. Not only did this mean by improving farming they reduced the risk of a poor harvest again, but the government had also helped the poor because they could now afford food. The government also dealt with the health of the Italian citizens very well.
Companies are forced to create safer products for the public to use, and also learn to make better with fewer resources. Corporations must invent new ways to cut down on their waste and work with less to create more. Corporations work diligently to cut down their use of water and electricity and other essential needs. They have educated the public about the importance of recycling used products and keeping their environment clean. Over consumption has led to many cures and medicines being created, and has made the world a better and safer place then it once was.
I was in a double room and my roommate, Marie, a heavy girl, had jumped off the roof of her house and shattered her knee. She was there almost as long as I was and I later saw her at physical therapy. She never walked the same again and experienced several complications while in the hospital. What seemed like a simple fracture turned into a nightmare for her, and what seemed like a hopeless situation for me turned out alright. I couldn’t help but wonder why I was so lucky.
The word is out that the environment matters and needs to be cared for, and at the bottom level people are worried about it. This is beautiful and creates change because business doesn't want to lose profits and politicians don't want to lose their jobs. That is why we are going green and using solar systems and energy powered cars we have also been using reusable bags to get our
Reducing the cost of commuting reduces the financial burden on individuals. Focusing on releasing no harmful carbon emissions would make electric scooters especially appealing to anyone who cares about the environment. They're great for air quality and our environment as a whole and will help save our environment for our future children. Our marketing focus would be directly with colleges and universities. This would match up with our target 18 – 25 demographic.
It would be best if these technologies that make our lives so much easier and convenient would also make it easier for the entire planet. Pollution is a very big concern for everyone. Air, water, and noise pollutions are byproducts of modernization because humans have simply overlooked the environment for so long a time. Again, there is nothing wrong in wanting to advance to the next level - but we owe it to the planet to consider its needs as well. Now that so many groups and individuals (even businesses) have started to go green and to think green, it may not really be too late for this planet.
